Sasha's POV:

As I'm walking towards the balcony of the Shadow Lord's Fortress I see Laurence standing there looking straight above.

Laurence: ".............."

"Hey new guy, don't feel bad... before you know it you'll have forgotten about your old life."

Laurence: "... I don't want to forget. I want to go see her... Sasha, you have to remember who YOU are."

"Sorry, I don't - nor do I want to."

Laurence: "Why Sasha? We were friends, you have to remember me."

"Calm down, your emotions are everywhere, your transformation will be complete soon."

Laurence: "I don't want this, why do I stay here...? I can't help it. Please, when will the Nether Portal be fixed?"

"Even if you find a way back, you'll hurt her."

Laurence: "I'm sorry, but I can't help the way I feel about her..."

"You'll regret it. If your eyes turn while you're around her you'll lose control."

Laurence: "............ I need to find a way back to the overworld."

"There's no other way. Vylad broke the main portal to save her and that Shaman."

Laurence: "No... he knows of another way. I'm sure of it."

I sigh as this man won't give up. He's still looking up but I look down to see Gene training the Shadow Knights...

Lorena's POV:

I walk out of my house to see Cadenza on the docks. She must be ready to leave so I go up to her to tell her that I need to do something real quick before we leave. She looks at me and smiles.

Cadenza: "Are you ready to depart to Meteli?"

"Before I go I need to make sure Garroth is okay."

Cadenza: "Understandable. It's your responsibility as a Lord to make sure your people are left in safe hands. Come back here when you are ready to depart."

I nod and make my way back home to Garroth. It's his turn to guard Levin and Zoey so I go inside to see him by the stairs.

Garroth: "Lorena, I heard from Zoey that you are heading to the village of Meteli with this woman "Cadenza"?"

"Yes I am."

Garroth: "Please be careful Lorena, while I don't have a full concept on the situation there, Meteli has just lost their head guard. Have you... said anything to Cadenza about Laurence

"No, it hasn't come up."

Garroth: "Understandable, but... Lorena, I haven't let word of Laurence's reappearance spread. I'm afraid it would cause too much a panic."

"Why are you so insistent we forget about Laurence!?"

Garroth: "Because... if it were me, I'd want nothing more than for you and my village to be safe. I choose this path and I know what it means to protect people and what risks it might impose on my life. You can't accept the position of Guard without knowing what the risks are. Laurence staying back to allow you to get to safety was a noble sacrifice and I will be forever thankful to him for that. But... his sacrifice would mean absolutely nothing if we sent you there to look for him... his sacrifice wouldn't be much... do you understand?"
