"Goodnight, Harry. Sleep well. And once again, congratulations. You did amazing today." Rosabelle spoke softly, a gentle smile gracing her lips as she leaned in to plant a kiss on Harry's forehead, causing a faint blush to appear on the boy's cheeks.

This was a new experience for him—receiving a motherly touch from Rosabelle that brought a sense of happiness he had never known before.

"Professor?"

"Yes?" Rosabelle responded as she packed up her belongings along with the healing potions she had discreetly acquired from Severus' class.

"Um... C-could you maybe stay with me tonight? Just until I fall asleep." Harry's voice held a hint of uncertainty, but he mustered the courage to ask.

Rosabelle's eyes widened momentarily before a warm chuckle escaped her lips. "Of course, my dear. I'll be here."

"But... won't Professor Snape be upset with you? He never really liked me."

A mischievous smirk played on Rosabelle's lips. "Don't worry, Potter. I have my ways of comforting him."

Severus might be upset, no doubt about it, but whenever he caught sight of Rosabelle's affectionate gaze and smiles, his displeasure would melt away. He loved her too much to be upset with her.

Rosabelle began to hum a familiar lullaby, a melody that had comforted Severus during sleepless nights or nightmares.

Rosabelle's gentle touch glided over the boy's head, reminiscent of how a mother would lovingly settle their children in for the night.

Rosabelle eased the door open with a cautious touch, slipping inside the room as silently as possible. She aimed to move stealthily, aware of not disturbing Severus' slumber. He could be rather grumpy upon waking.

The chamber was cast in darkness, faintly illuminated by scattered candlelight. Guided by their faint light, she moved stealthily, taking measured steps. However, her progress came to a halt as an unexpected shiver traced down her spine. The scent of Severus' familiar cologne hung in the air, a scent that she recognized instantly.

"And just where might you be heading?"

Rosabelle's eyes fluttered shut, and she nibbled on her lower lip. Well, it seemed she had been caught in the act.

"Um, hello, darling. I had just completed my patrol," Rosabelle answered, turning to face him, a playful grin dancing on her lips.

Severus leaned against the doorframe, arms folded sternly across his chest, an air of intimidation emanating from him. His brow was knitted in a disapproving expression.

She couldn't help but think how striking he looked, a thought that drifted through her mind and didn't escape his notice, as he raised an eyebrow at her.

"My eyes are up here, Mrs. Snape."

Her grin widened. "Apologies, love. You're simply a bit distracting."

Severus let out a resigned sigh before closing the distance between them. He enveloped Rosabelle in a deliberate embrace, and she responded with equal warmth.

"Pray tell, where were you venturing off to in the dead of night? Late-night escapades with my potions, Mrs. Snape?"

Raising her gaze, Rosabelle greeted the man with a tender smile. Fatigue was etched across his features. She reached out her hand, her touch gentle as she brushed her fingers against Severus' cheek, causing him to flinch slightly due to the chill of her hand.

"You're freezing, Belle. What were you up to earlier?" His brow furrowed with concern as he swiftly guided her nearer to the crackling fireplace. Settling her onto a sofa, he knelt before her, his larger hands enveloping hers in a bid to transmit warmth. The underlying worry for her well-being was palpable.

An appreciative hum escaped Rosabelle's lips as the comforting heat of Severus' touch gradually spread through her once again.

"You're with Potter, aren't you?" Severus asked, letting out a sigh as Rosabelle confirmed his suspicion with a nod.

"Why did you take the potions with you? Madam Pomfrey had everything arranged for the boy," he pressed on.

As Rosabelle replied, her thumb traced a soothing path over Severus' hand, "I've heard that growing bones can be quite uncomfortable. I couldn't bear to have the boy endure it alone. I wanted to help ease his pain a little."

Severus released a resigned sigh, his expression softening, "Belle..."

Interrupting any further words, Rosabelle locked her gaze onto his, a steadfast look in her eyes, "I'm sorry, Sev. Are you upset with me?"

Severus remained silent, his eyes fixed on hers. How could he possibly be upset when she was acting out of such kindness? While he harbored disdain for Harry Potter, his affection for Rosabelle was much stronger.

His hands lifted gently, cupping Rosabelle's cheeks as he leaned in, his voice tender, "No."

Nestling into his caress, the woman pressed a tender kiss onto his palm. "Let's get you to bed, Sev. You need your beauty sleep for classes tomorrow."

Severus huffed; the thought of classes – or rather, the vexing students he had to teach—was not particularly appealing. He looked up at the woman before him, her eyes closed as she leaned into his touch. A smile tugged at his lips involuntarily.

Only Rosabelle alone could make his day better.
