McGonagall stood in front of the wall, with the rest of the staff gathered around her. Gilderoy noticed Severus standing alone, which was highly unusual since Rosabelle and he were almost always together outside of their teaching duties.
Gilderoy approached Severus and cleared his throat. "Where's Rosabelle?"
Severus furrowed his brow, taking a step back to create some distance between himself and Gilderoy. He scoffed and shot a piercing glare at the man. "It's none of your concern."
Gilderoy flinched and muttered, "Yeah... right."
Severus caught a glimpse of Harry and Ron sneaking up the stairwell from the corner of his eye. He raised an eyebrow but then refocused his attention on McGonagall's announcement.
McGonagall explained, "As you can see, the Heir of Slytherin has left another message. Our worst fear has been realized. A student has been taken by the monster, into the chamber itself."
Severus couldn't help but groan inwardly. This situation was out of control. He was relieved that he had let Rosabelle sleep in, so that she couldn't hear this distressing news. If she knew, she would undoubtedly be worried. She had enough on her plates already.
"I'm afraid we shall have to send the students home. I'm afraid...this is the end of Hogwarts," McGonagall continued.
Severus noticed Gilderoy yawning beside him, and suddenly, an idea occurred to him. A sly smirk formed on his face as he crossed his arms.
"If I may... Have we forgotten about our illustrious professor here?"
All eyes turned to him, and Severus directed his gaze at Gilderoy, who hastily shut his mouth, caught in the act of yawning.
"A girl has been snatched by the monster, Lockhart. Your moment has come at last." Severus said, tilting his head and raising an eyebrow to emphasize the point. The staff members focused their attention on Gilderoy.
"My m-moment?"
"Weren't you saying just last night that you've known all along where the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is?" Severus pressed on.
Gilderoy stammered, "D-did I? I don't recall..."
McGonagall couldn't help but snigger quietly, "That settles it. We'll leave it to you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy. Your skills, after all, are legendary."
"V-very well. I'll -- I'll be in my office, getting -- getting ready," Gilderoy stammered, clearly flustered and sweating.
"The rest of us should go and inform the students of what has happened," McGonagall declared.
"Good luck, Lockhart. Although I trust you won't need any luck at all, considering you are a professional," Severus smirked before walking away.

Rosabelle stirred awake, her senses tingling with the delightful aroma that filled the room. It was unusual, as she was usually the one preparing meals. She sat up and looked around as she sniffled; her nose felt stuffy.
She looked down and noticed her attire differed from the previous day. The realization struck her that Severus had dressed her and possibly freshened her up with damp cloths, leaving her skin feeling smooth and nice.
A contented smile crossed her lips as she rose from the bed, curious to investigate the source of the delicious smell. She couldn't help but notice that a tall and familiar figure stood at a table, engrossed in studying something, with a quizzical expression on his face.
Rosabelle quietly approached him and noticed that Severus was trying to read a recipe, struggling in the process. She couldn't suppress a chuckle as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
"My husband can brew complex potions yet struggles with a simple recipe?" she playfully chided him.
Severus initially tensed but relaxed when he realized it was his beloved wife. Swiftly, he turned to face her, enveloping her in a warm embrace. He pressed a tender kiss to her forehead and asked, "How are you feeling, love?"
Rosabelle beamed up at him. "Good, thanks to you."
Severus' fingers gently caressed her cheeks as he checked her temperature. "You're still a bit warm. I'm almost done with the porridge."
Curious, Rosabelle peered over to see the pot of porridge Severus had been working on. "How long have you been trying to cook this?" she asked.
Severus shifted his gaze away, clearing his throat. "Two... hours. But you know I'm not much of a cook, Belle."
She laughed softly, understanding his efforts. "I know, darling. I appreciate you making it for me."
Cradling Severus' face in her hands, Rosabelle looked into his eyes with a soft, loving gaze. "I love you. Thank you."
Severus responded with a gentle smile, leaning his forehead against hers. "I love you too. Always."

Fiksi PenggemarSeverus let out a small sigh. "Don't you want a place you can truly call home? Somewhere that's just for us? When we retire, I promise I'll get us a house like that." Rosabelle lifted her head to look at Severus. Their noses were almost touching. "W...
