The Great Lake shimmered under the silver light of the moon, its surface calm and still. The quiet of the night was broken only by the soft rustling of leaves and the gentle lapping of water against the shore. Severus Snape stood at the edge of the lake, his eyes gazing out at the dark expanse before him, lost in thought.
Rosabelle quietly approached from behind, her footsteps barely audible on the soft grass. She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder before slipping her arm around his, leaning into him. Severus instinctively pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her as they stood side by side, the warmth of their bodies shielding them from the cool evening air.
"Long day?" Rosabelle asked softly, her head resting comfortably on his shoulder.
Severus nodded, his usual stoic expression softened by her presence. "The students are more infuriating than usual," he muttered, though his tone lacked its usual sharpness. He was tired, but not from the work—just from the weight of everything.
Rosabelle chuckled softly, a sound that always seemed to ease his tension. "You know, you say that every year, yet somehow you survive it."
Severus allowed himself a small smile, the kind that only Rosabelle ever saw. "Surviving is one thing. Enjoying it is quite another."
They stood in silence for a while, simply enjoying the peace and the closeness. The Great Lake had always been a place of solace for them both, a refuge from the demands of the outside world.
Rosabelle's fingers lightly traced patterns on his arm, and she tilted her head up slightly to look at him. "Do you remember when we used to sneak out here as teenagers?" she asked, her voice filled with nostalgia.
Severus glanced down at her, the corner of his mouth twitching. "You were quite the troublemaker. I was the one constantly trying to avoid detention."
Rosabelle laughed quietly, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, you loved every minute of it. Admit it—you enjoyed the thrill of sneaking out, Sev. Especially with me."
Severus sighed, shaking his head, though his lips curled into a reluctant smile. "Perhaps," he conceded. "Though I believe I spent more time worrying about getting caught than enjoying the moment."
Rosabelle grinned, a playful light in her eyes. "And with good reason! Minnie caught us at least three times, remember? Gave us detention for a week straight." She shook her head, the fond memory bringing a smile to her face. "She was always waiting for us like she had some kind of sixth sense for mischief."
Severus let out a rare chuckle, the sound warm and genuine. "Ah yes, dear Professor McGonagall. I'm convinced she had our every move tracked."
Rosabelle nudged him lightly, her voice teasing. "You know she secretly rooted for us. She never separated us during those detentions. In fact, I think she gave us extra work just to make sure we'd be stuck together."
Severus raised an eyebrow, his gaze softening as he looked down at her. "I always suspected as much. Lily had been teasing me about it. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be grateful for those detentions."
Severus could still recall all the mischief Rosabelle had led him into during their school days—sneaking out to the Great Lake, slipping into the kitchen late at night, pilfering from Filch after he confiscated Rosabelle's belongings, and even sneaking into the Room of Requirement just to steal a few stolen kisses.

Fiksi PenggemarSeverus let out a small sigh. "Don't you want a place you can truly call home? Somewhere that's just for us? When we retire, I promise I'll get us a house like that." Rosabelle lifted her head to look at Severus. Their noses were almost touching. "W...
