Rosabelle paced around the room, her fingers twitching at her sides as she fought the urge to yell. "How can you even suggest sending him back there? Those people don't care about him, Dumbledore!"
Dumbledore remained calm, though his eyes held a hint of sadness. "I understand your concern, Rosabelle, but Harry staying here would be too dangerous for him."
"But at what cost?" Rosabelle shot back, her voice trembling with emotion. "He's miserable there! He's safe with me—with us!"
"Harry must return, even if only briefly," Dumbledore explained softly. "It is the only way to ensure he remains safe until the time comes."
Harry sat quietly, his heart sinking. He knew Dumbledore was right, but the thought of returning to Privet Drive made his stomach churn. The memory of Rosabelle's comforting embrace was already fading, replaced by the cold, indifferent faces of the Dursleys.
"I don't want to go back," Harry said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'd rather stay here, with you."
Rosabelle's heart ached at the sight of his downcast expression. She knelt beside him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I want that too, Harry. I'm so sorry. I promise you, we will take you with us soon."

A few weeks later, at the Grimmauld Place, after the meeting, the wizards and witches murmured in troubled tones as they exited the parlor, their conversations hushed yet anxious. Hovering just above the door, a floating disembodied ear cupped in, eavesdropping on the shadowy figures still inside.
Sirius' voice echoed through the room. "If it wasn't for Harry, we wouldn't even know Voldemort was back! He isn't a child, Molly!"
Molly shot back, her tone firm but concerned, "Well, he's not an adult either! He's not James, Sirius."
Rosabelle stood by the window, her expression unreadable, though her eyes were sharp as she listened to the exchange. She glanced at Severus, who stood silently near the doorway, his face impassive, but she knew he was paying close attention.
The conversation ascended with the flesh-colored cord of the ear to the landing above, where Fred, George (who was holding Alaric), Harry, Ron, and Hermione huddled around the other ear, listening intently. Ginny silently joined them, mouthing "hi" to Harry.
Sirius' voice rose again, tinged with frustration. "Well, he isn't your son!"
Molly responded with a mix of maternal fierceness and worry, "He's as good as! Who else has he got besides Rosabelle?"
Sirius' reply was quick and full of emotion. "He's got me!"
Harry, standing on the landing, flushed with gratitude. Hermione glanced at him and smiled softly.
Severus' voice cut through the tension, dripping with sarcasm. "How touchingly paternal, Black. Perhaps Potter will grow up to be a felon, just like his Godfather."
Sirius bristled at the insult. "You stay out of this, Snivellus—"
Before the argument could escalate further, Rosabelle intervened, her voice firm but laced with concern. "Enough. This bickering isn't helping anyone."
Sirius sighed, ruffling his hair. "You're right. I apologize."
Severus pinched the bridge of his nose, hardly believing he was standing in the same room as Sirius Black yet again.
Rosabelle smiled softly. "It's fine, Sirius. Let's wrap up the meeting soon. Al must be getting hungry by now."
Sirius, who had been stealing glances at Rosabelle ever since she arrived, smiled and nodded. He couldn't help but notice the glow she had since Alaric was born.
He silently thanked the gods that Alaric Snape had inherited his mother's soft features, not his father's.
Severus cleared his throat, arms crossed, as he caught Sirius still eyeing his wife. Sirius huffed in annoyance, turning away.
From the landing above, Harry was taken aback to hear Rosabelle's voice, noticing the tension between the adults. He whispered to Ron, "Snape's part of the Order?"
Ron nodded grimly. "Git."
The tension in the room remained thick as the adults continued to discuss Harry's safety, the urgency of the situation hanging heavily over them.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Alaric was blissfully unaware of the serious conversation, happily tugging on George's hair and cooing with delight.
"You've got a thing for gingers, little man?" George teased, gently tickling Alaric's belly as he carefully pried the tiny hand from his hair.
Alaric cooed again, his wide eyes sparkling with curiosity as he reached out toward Harry. Smiling, Harry leaned in and scooped him up from George's arms, nuzzling his nose against the baby's cheek. "It's been too long, Al. You've gotten big now. I've missed you," Harry whispered softly.
Alaric giggled, his small hands patting Harry's face in innocent delight.

The front door elaborately locked and bolted itself as Molly greeted the trio and Ginny at the bottom of the stairs.
"Well! We'll be eating down in the kitchen—" Molly began, but before she could finish, Fred and George suddenly apparated.
CRACK!
On either side of her. She screamed in surprise, then quickly recovered and called after them.
"JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE ALLOWED TO USE MAGIC NOW DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO WHIP YOUR WANDS OUT FOR EVERYTHING!" she scolded, her voice sharp.
Instantly, her tone softened as she turned to Harry, her maternal instincts kicking in. "Are you hungry, Harry?"
Before Harry could respond, Arthur stepped forward, placing a warm hand on Harry's shoulder. "You're sure you're all right, Harry? Gave us all quite a turn," he said, concern evident in his voice.
Harry opened his mouth to reply, but before he could get a word out, a familiar voice called out from the shadows.
"What, no hello for me?" came the teasing voice of Sirius Black.
Harry turned and saw Sirius standing there, a wide grin on his face, his long dark hair swept back from his glittering eyes. For the first time in what felt like ages, Harry smiled—a genuine, heartfelt smile.
But before rushing into Sirius' arms, Harry's eyes flicked to Rosabelle, who had been quietly observing from the side with Severus standing next to her. Without a second thought, he walked over to her first, wrapping his arms around her in a tight embrace. Rosabelle smiled warmly, hugging him back with the same affection, offering him a moment of comfort and reassurance.
Sirius, not one to miss a beat, chuckled as Harry finally turned to him. "What, Harry? I thought I was your first choice. I'm hurt," he teased, though his eyes shone with affection.
Harry laughed softly, finally stepping into Sirius' embrace.
