"Harry, why are you out here all by yourself? It's past curfew already." Rosabelle asked as she finished her patrol and came across the young boy.

Harry sat at the top of the Astronomy Tower, alone.

Harry managed a faint smile when he recognized Rosabelle's voice, a sense of relief washing over him as he saw her face. "Hello, Professor. I just needed some time alone."

Noticing the sadness and distress in Harry's expression, Rosabelle let out a sigh. It was clear that something was troubling him. She also noticed that most of his classmates seemed to be avoiding him. Deciding to keep him company, she settled down next to him, both of them letting their legs dangle over the edge of the tall tower.

"It's dangerous, you know, wandering alone at night, especially with the Heir of Slytherin on the loose, petrifying people," she murmured softly, encircling her arm around Harry's shoulders and drawing him in close.

Harry's lips quivered, his gaze fixed on a distant point. "D-do you think it might be me?"

Rosabelle's brow furrowed. "Ridiculous. Why would I ever think that?"

"Everyone else... they think I'm the Heir of Slytherin. They avoid me," Harry confessed, a sniffle escaping him as he used his sleeves to dab at his eyes.

Rosabelle sighed, her heart aching for the Chosen One, who couldn't catch a break at all. "You really can't catch a break, can you?"

Her gentle hand stroked the boy's head as she added, "Merlin, you've defeated Voldemort, and now you supposedly have the power to petrify people? What else can you do, Harry Potter?"

Harry snorted at the joke.

"I trust you, Harry."

"Thank you, Professor. You've been the one person who's been there for me through it all," Harry expressed his gratitude.

Rosabelle offered a warm smile before playfully tousling his hair. "Don't get all emotional with me, Potter."

After a long moment of silence and them enjoying each other's company, Rosabelle felt it was time to say goodbye. She stood up and offered a hand to help the boy get to his feet.

Surprisingly, Harry initiated a hug, and Rosabelle embraced him, patting his head affectionately. "Goodnight, Harry."

Descending from the tower, Rosabelle unexpectedly crossed paths with Severus.

"Finished patrolling, Professor Snape?" She teased, a mischievous glint dancing in her eyes.

A soft smile graced Severus' lips as he captured the woman's hand in his own, their fingers entwining as he gently guided her in the direction of their chambers.

"I must say, this isn't quite appropriate, sir. It's rather late now," she remarked playfully.

"Wandering around after curfew? You ought to be punished, Miss Snape." he quipped, though the humor in his tone was evident.

"What are you going to make me do? Write lines? Been there before. You wouldn't take points from your own house, right?"

Severus couldn't help but chuckle. However, his expression soon grew serious.

"It's dangerous, Belle. The number of students who've been petrified is increasing. You should be careful too," he cautioned.

"But they seem to be targeting only Muggle-borns for now, don't they?" Rosabelle replied.

Severus' grip on her hand tightened. "We mustn't let our guard down. Voldemort could very well be the true Heir of Slytherin, and we both know he's had his eyes on you for a while now."

Coming to a halt, Severus turned to face Rosabelle, closing the gap between them as he rested his forehead against hers. "And if anything—and I mean anything happens to you... I don't know what I'd do. I can't bear the thought of losing you, Rosabelle."

Rosabelle's eyes widened as she noticed his voice quiver and tears well up in his eyes. "Severus... I won't leave you. I promise. You can't get rid of me that easily."

"Why do you always seem to be with Potter?" Severus asked, breaking the silence as he glanced up from the essays he was grading.

Rosabelle lifted her eyes from the papers she had been examining and let out a thoughtful hum. "Perhaps it's fate, or maybe Lily and James had something to do with it."

Severus rolled his eyes and returned to his stack of essays, which had been quite disappointing. The couple had been grading their respective classes' assignments for a while, side by side.

"I don't like it," he muttered.

Rosabelle arched an eyebrow, her gaze locked on the man beside her. She smirked slightly before resting her head on her hand, propped up on the desk. "Why's that? Jealous? He's 12, Severus."

Severus grumbled, "I still don't like it."

Severus couldn't help but feel as if the boy was stealing her away from him. Lately, his wife has been spending less time with him, all because of Harry Potter.

Must all Potters be this troublesome? Must be in the blood, then.

Feeling Severus' irritation, she chuckled and reassured him, "Sev, starting tomorrow, I promise I'll dedicate more time to you. You'll have me entirely to yourself."

"Perfect. Starting tomorrow, I'll have the house-elves bring our meals to our chamber because I don't intend to let you out of my sight," Severus quipped, a slight smirk playing on his lips as he returned to grading essays as fast as possible with the anticipation of teasing and bothering his wife later.

A blush crept across Rosabelle's cheeks as she playfully slapped him on the shoulder. "Severus!"
