Twenty Seven

It's a guy's voice. I quickly turned. This handsome tall man in suit is smiling at her. Who is he? I looked back at Freen who for strange reasons is a little nervous and uncomfortable right now.

"What are you doing here?" The young man asked as he walks to us.

I rolled my eyes. That's a funny question to ask. I mean it's a romantic garden and she's with me which means she's on a date with me.

Freen smiled and stood up. She walked to him and hugged him. That didn't sit well with me at all. I can't handle seeing Freen hug any other person.

"It's been a while Chen" Freen said.

"Yeah. I never thought I would see you here" the young man said.

He's still holding Freen in the hand and I wonder why she's not pulling away. The man maybe older than Freen or maybe the same age as her but why does he have to hold someone's girlfriend like this.

"You look amazing as always. Your beauty never goes away" he continued.

My eyes widened when I heard that. I can't explain what it was that got me pissed off, Is it because he just flirted with her right now or because Freen is smiling shyly at him? What's up with that shy reaction? I hate this so much.

I cleared my throat aggressively just so they can notice me. Since I am too tiny not to be seen.

"Uhm. This is Miss Armstrong. My employer" Freen said introducing me to the young man.

I turned to her instantly. Did she just introduced me as her employer infront of this man that is clearly showing interest in her? The man smiled and stretched his hand for a handshake.

Ignoring him would be rude of me so I took his hand. He smiled at me and looked back at Freen.

"She's cute" he said.

He must really be a pervert. Freen took a quick look at me and smiled nervously at him. I decided to ignore them and continue with my wine. Maybe she really isn't proud of me. It's bad enough that she wants our relationship to be kept from my family, now we are keeping it from others too?

"I will be leaving you now Freen. I will make sure to visit before I leave Thailand" he said smiling.

"Okay Chen. I will be glad to welcome you"

So it didn't really end here. He will still visit her at her home? Now I am so mad. The young man hugged her once again before leaving. Freen watched him until he disappeared from the garden before sitting back. I can't face her right now. I don't want to talk to her.

"That was my...."

"I don't want to hear it" I simply said cutting her off.

Silence

"How is the wine? Do you like the flavor?" She asked trying to start a conversation.

Silence

"Becky...."

Silence

"Really Becky? Is that how you want to be now?'

That's not how I want to be but I can't help but to be like this. I ignored her while sipping my drink. She broke my heart. I don't want to talk to her anymore. .

"Is there something else you want to have? We could try different dishes...."

"No thanks" my quick response.

"Uhm. Maybe we should go somewhere else. Is there any other place you have in mind...."

"I want to go home" I simply said.
