I let out a sigh and dropped the form back on the desk. Freen brought it to me yesterday after our discussion on our date some days back. It's a law program form. I can't believe I am going back to the profession I abandoned for some time now. All because Freen wants me to. I must have loved her a lot.

I sat on my bed while thinking about our moments yesterday. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I will forever love and cherish her. I was in my thoughts when Mrs. Ree came into my bedroom. She looks so worried or perhaps sad. Did something happen?

"Becky, I think you need to go to your dad now" she said.

"Why? Is everything okay?" I asked worriedly and she shook her head.

I got out of the bed immediately and grabbed my phone to leave my room. My dad came in yesterday because of an important meeting. I don't know what the meeting is all about because I am still not interested in his business nor political life.

"You should know that Richie is on his way to Thailand also" Mrs. Ree continued as she follows me out.

"What?!" I screamed and turned to her.

"Why suddenly?" I asked curiously but it seems she doesn't know why either.

I was on the phone with him last night, he didn't tell me anything about coming back today at all. It must really be unplanned. Now I am worried. What is going on?

I rushed to my dad's room but he was on call when I came in. With the way he's yelling at whoever he's on the line shows he's definitely not in the good mood.

"What do you mean The Brass Construction terminated our contract?" He yelled.

The Brass Construction terminated our contract? That came as a big shock to me. I have known them to be one of our top clients in the construction company. Pulling out means losing a lot. But why would they do that?

"Get the president on the phone with me this moment!!" He said and ended the call.

"Dad" I called and got closer to him.

I handed him a glass of water and helped him sit on his favourite armchair. He took the water from me and drank in a gulp. He looks so sad or will I say angry?

"Becky I am sorry you have to see me like this" he said.

"It's fine dad." I said and he smiled.

But why isn't he telling me what's going on? Mrs. Ree said he has been yelling as he goes from one call to the other. After some minutes of waiting for him to tell me what's going on without him actually saying anything, I decided to ask.

"What's going on Dad?"

"It's really nothing to be worried about" he answered.

"It's draining you mentally, I think I need to be worried now. So what's happening?" I insisted.

He was about saying something when his phone started ringing again and just as he did before he yelled at whoever is on the line and instructed them to do some things before evening. This is getting serious than I thought.

"We are losing the court case Becky. We will lose the property" he said sadly.

I became sad. Even though I knew before now that the possibility of winning that case is 20% I didn't expect to feel as bad as I am feeling now. The property belongs to us. The hotel was built by us but because of the misplacement of the original copy, we will lose it. How the original document got missing is still a mystery till date.

"As if that is not enough, The Brass Construction is pulling out. And that isn't a good news for our construction company" he said.

"But why? Why did they suddenly pull out?" I asked confusedly.
