Acceptance

(A/N: NO HATE TO TONY)

2nd Person POV:

You snuggled closely into Kate's lap, she smiled to herself as she hugged your waist, wanting you impossibly close to her. The two of you had been cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Not too long ago, Peter and Mj decided to join you guys and even brought you some snacks.

"Oh that was so dramatic." Peter commented as he shoved some popcorn in his mouth. You laughed quietly, shaking your head with a snort as you tossed a kernel at him.

"Stop talking." You whispered and he chuckled, nodding in response with a small playful roll of his eyes.

Your father walked into the room and the first thing his eyes settled on was you and and Kate. Tony didn't understand it. How could anyone ever love the same gender? He didn't like it for some reason and when you and Kate started dating, he hated it.

"What are you guys doing?" He asked and all of your head snapped towards him to see him looking directly at you. Kate shrunk back in her seat and you frowned inside.

Kate has been trying and trying to be everything good to your father but Tony would not accept her dating you. You didn't care though, you continued dating her. Which the archer was thankful for but that didn't mean she still feared Tony.

"Watching a movie." You answered coldly and turned around missing the look of hurt on Tony's face at your tone. He was quick to hid it though.

"Not that." He shook his head and you huffed, looking back at him. "That." He pointed to you sitting on Kate's lap. You looked over at your girlfriend to check on her to see she swallowed hard.

You stood from her lap, kissing her cheek to assure her which only pissed Tony off more. You walked over to your father and stood before him. "Why can't you just accept it?" The question certainly had taken him by surprise. "Why can't you accept me? Your daughter? I love Kate and she loves me. I've never been more happier, yet, you hate her and my relationship even more." You didn't even noticed your eyes well up with tears and your voice crack but everyone else did and at this point Kate didn't care anymore since she stood up so quickly and rushed to hug you.

You hugged her back before looking at Tony. "It's like you hate me for being me." You said and let your words sink in as you walked out with Kate. Peter sighed under his breath, looking at his father figure.

"I would listen to her, Mr. Stark." He said softly and intertwined his fingers with Mj's, leading her out of the room.

Tony stood there, staring at the ground in thought. He loved you. He did. He could never hate you and why he hated your relationship was a mystery.

A soft knock was heard outside your door and you and Kate stopped your actions. Kate helped slip your shirt back on before you answered the door. "Hi." Tony said quietly, a little bit of guilt and shame in his voice as you crossed your arms, Kate sitting straight up in bed.

"What?" You snapped.

Tony blinked in surprise again but he should've expected that. "I want to show you something." You tilted your head as he disappeared into the hall before returning and holding up a huge Pride flag which made you gasp. "I don't understand everything, sweetie, but I do love you. And if this makes you happy, then it makes me happy. I love you and I accept you and Kate."

You smiled with teary eyes as Tony set the flag down and you rushed up to hug him tightly. "And Kate." He started and Kate stood up immediately. "Thank you for making my daughter happy."

"Anytime, Mr. Stark. She's the light of my life and I'm never going to let her go." Kate said as she stared at you lovingly the entire time. If Tony didn't know accept it sooner, than this crossed the line because he could see the way you looked at each other and it warmed his heart.

"I love you." You whispered to Kate, kissing her cheek before hugging your father again. "And I love you."

"I love you too, sweetie." Tony said softly, hugging you and giving Kate a soft smile.
