2nd Person POV:

You wandered around the flower field, picking the most beautiful ones you could find. You laid eyes on a dandelion, picking it up carefully. You closed your eyes briefly, before reopening them and blowing on the dandelion, watching the specs of it fly away.

"What did you wish for?" You turned your head to the angelic voice coming from Emily Dickinson, who stood with a pleasant smile on her face, her hands behind her back.

"Well if I was to tell you, then it wouldn't come true." You smiled, placing the flowers safely away in the basket you had, setting that down on the ground before walking over to Emily. Emily let you wrap your arms around her neck, you planting a small kiss on her cheek. "Hello, my darling." You whispered and Emily's heart fluttered.

"Hi." She whispered, getting lost in your eyes before she cleared her throat, remembering why she came to find you. "I have something for you." She said, pulling her hands from behind her back and handing you a small folded up paper.

You grabbed the paper, opening it up and scanning the title of the sheet.

"It's a poem. I wrote it for you." Emily smiled, fiddling with her thumbs shyly, when you went quiet, intensely reading her poem to you. She eventually noticed how a smile slowly painted itself on your lips, your eyes lighting up brighter than the stars in the midnight sky.

"Emily." You slowly started, your voice soft as you slowly folded the paper back up. "This is the greatest thing I've ever received. Thank you." You expressed, seeing Emily's eyes light up as well, happiness flowing through her veins as she placed a hand on the back of your neck, pulling you towards her for a kiss.

It was slow, your tongues taking their time to explore every nook and cranny of each other's mouths. Your hands were slowly placed on her hips, tugging them closer to you as the sun started to set.

You were the first to pull away due to lack of air, resting your forehead against Emily's. She smiled, caressing the back of your neck while playing with the baby hairs there.

"I love you, Y/N Y/L/N." Emily soon whispered after a long, comfortable pause. She moved both of her hands to your cheeks, cupping them as she held your face in her hands. You smiled, your eyes shining brightly up at her.

"And I love you, Emily Dickinson." And another kiss was ensued as you shared this moment with your lover.
