2nd Person POV:

"Ugh." Emily threw her pencil across her little desk up against her window. She stared out of it with a pouty look on her face. She's been struggling with writers block. Nothing came to mind and she couldn't seem to write anything down.

A sudden knock jolted her out of her chair, hurrying to stand up. When it was opened, she sighed when all she was you. "Hey, Y/N/N."

"Hi, Emily." You smiled a little and shut the door behind you. When you turned around, a smiling Emily was already directly in front of you. "I just came to say I missed you."

Her smile only seemed to beam more when you wrapped your arms around her neck. "Well, I missed you the most so I win." She chuckled which made you laugh. "I think I'm dying."

Her dramatic statement was soon followed by her pulling away from you and falling face down on her bed. "And why are you dying, my dear?" You asked with a small smile, sitting on the side of the bed where her head was.

"I can't write poems because I have writer's block and if I have writer's block then I can't write poems and poems are my life which means without my life, I am dead." She concluded with her head popping up to look at you. She blew the messy hair strands out of her face but it did nothing.

You brushed them back, feeling her soft locks between your fingers. "Darling, you won't die. You just need inspiration again." Emily perked up at that, laying in your lap. "What usually gives you inspiration?"

"You." She immediately blurted which made you blush. "Death, and uh... death again."

"Very wise choices." You playfully rolled your eyes before standing up and dragging Emily up with you. "Come with me, maybe if we take your mind off it, you might be able to come up with something."

Emily was hesitant to leave her room but eager to spend time with you so she grabbed her coat and immediately followed after you.

-

In the nearby orchard field, you lie on your back, admiring the sky and ignoring the fact that your new dress will be dirty but you couldn't care less.

Emily, however, had been too distracted to join you. She was looking at every inch of the field while standing up, pacing back and forth in thought.

"Emily, sit your ass down. Your pacing is annoying me." You snapped and she immediately followed your directions. With her body now laying next to yours, you turn to look at her. "Honey, you just need to relax. Not think, not write, nothing. Can you do that?"

"Will you help me?" Emily asked. You sat up, her doing the same. You moved closer to her and grabbed her hands in yours.

"Close your eyes." Emily was hesitant again yet did as told. You smiled and moved to cup her face next. "Take a few deep breaths." She took three big deep breaths. "Now I want you to think of the things that give you inspiration to write. Not just death or me, I know there's other things."

Emily thought long and hard, her chest heaving up and down calmly with a steady breath. You smiled when all the muscles in her face, body, and mind relaxed.

"Now open your eyes and take a look around again." When Emily opened her eyes, nothing really changed about the world around her. But, it did seem brighter and the brightest light came directly from you.

She stared at you and you smiled. "You're so pretty." Emily whispered.

"So are you." You chuckled as you caressed the skin of her cheek with your thumb.

"Like, you're really really pretty." Emily sighed out and a dopey grin formed in her face.

"Maybe there is a thing called being too relaxed." You muttered to yourself as you examined her.

"No, no. I just- I spent everyday with you and I love you yet I have never taken the time to admire your beauty like I can now." Emily expressed, her words making you blush even more. "You're so gorgeous."

"That's enough, Dickinson." You covered your bright red face with your hands. Emily let out a breathless chuckle, grabbing your hands and pulling them down. You stared at each other for a moment before Emily surged forward to kiss you passionately.

"That was even better than I dreamt of." Emily laughed under her breath after she said that.

You nodded along with a smile. "I agree, love."
