3rd Person POV:

Hailee relaxed back into her chair, sipping a small glass of wine. Tini and Brando were sleeping peacefully in their beds by the window. Euphoria was softly playing on her tv and up until now, everything was silent and comforting.

A loud knock was heard from her door. Hailee stood with a reluctant sigh and opened the door. Her heart dropped when she saw her childhood best friend, Y/N, standing there with tears streaming down her face.

"Y/N/N? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Hailee immediately bombarded the shaky girl with questions as she rapidly gestured her to come inside.

Y/N inhaled and let out shaky, hiccuped breaths. "I- he- fuck." She physically broke down in the comfort of her best friend's arms. "He cheated... and broke up with me."

Hailee knew of Y/N's boyfriend - ex now apparently - Josh Allen. She and him were high school sweethearts, Hailee thought they'd be together forever.

"I am so sorry, honey." Hailee could recall all the moments of Y/N running to her because of Josh. The same guy who used to buy her flowers everyday and walk her home from school. But now he was the same guy who cheated on her and manipulated her into thinking it was Y/N's fault.

Oh how Hailee hated him now.

Y/N didn't want to go back to her home with Josh anytime soon. Hailee completely understood and helped her best friend make herself at Hailee's house.

They spent the time comforting Y/N in every way possible. Hailee held her while she cried on her shoulder when every little thing reminded her of him. And Hailee knew she couldn't do much but hold the Y/H/C girl who needed an emotional way out.

Hailee would buy her favorite ice cream and they'd sit and watch Euphoria for hours on end, rewatching it every time it ended like Y/N requested.

Hailee wanted nothing more than to be there for her best friend. She had Y/N's back any time of day.

"Want anything from the store?" Hailee asked Y/N who was cuddled up with the pups on the couch.

"I'm okay, be safe!" Y/N denied politely as she called out to her best friend who smiled reassuringly to her.

Hailee had about a 15 minute drive before she arrived at the store. She walked down the aisles, recalling the things that she needed to herself. Hailee reached her hand out to grab the last box of Lucky Charms but someone else's hand did the same.

"Sorry-" Hailee cut herself off as she looked to see who it was. "Josh..."

"Hey, Hailee." He smiled as he leaned against the shelves. "What're you doing here?"

"Shopping." Hailee pointed out the obvious. "I want nothing to do with you." The hazel eyed girl didn't care about a box of cereal if it meant she could escape Josh.

"Woah, woah." Josh stopped her with a gently hand on her arm. "Just because I hurt Y/N, doesn't mean I'll hurt you." He smiled, it was a charming smile that wooed people too easily.

Hailee looked into his eyes, feeling her get lost in then before her senses snapped back in. "Whatever." She scoffed and grabbed the cereal box anyway, walking away.

Josh chuckled quietly to himself as he watched her go with a smile on his face.

"What'd you get?" Y/N asked curiously as Hailee walked back inside the house with a few bags of groceries in her hands. "Haiz?" She waved her hand in front of the brunette's face when Hailee zoned out instead of answering.
