Y/N's POV:

"Babe! We gotta hurry, we have dinner reservations!" Hailee yelled from downstairs. I quickly picked up my dress and slightly ran downstairs in my flats. To hell with heels.

"Sorry, sorry." I chuckled and checked my makeup in the small mirror that stood on top of a drawer at the end of the hall near the bottom step. I walked over to Hailee who stared at me with a playful smile on her face.

I rolled my eyes — ignoring it, I adjusted the collar of her suit. "Man, I love when you wear suits." I whispered.

"I know." She said back in the same tone. We smirked at each other before rushing out the house and jumping in the car.

When we arrived to the restaurant, the place was swarming with what looked like paparazzi. Shit. I looked at Hailee who was still processing why they were here and how the hell we were going to get inside.

"Our dinner is ruined." Hailee slumped back in the drivers seat, but her hands still kept a tight grip on the steering wheel.

"Nothing is ruined, baby." I grabbed one of her hands in mine. I rubbed my thumb over her knuckles while kissing the back of her hand. "We'll cancel the reservations for another day and just go somewhere else."

"But I had everything planned out and they always find a way to ruin everything!" I could tell this was stressing her since she was on the verge of tears.

I quickly reacted and reached over, pulling her seat back more which allowed me to straddle her waist. "Honey. Look at me." She avoided my eyes still so I cupped her face and forced her to look at me. "Don't cry, baby. I hate paparazzi just as much as you do but we can't let them ruin our night, okay? Let's just go somewhere, anywhere with you is perfect." I smiled and ran my thumbs over her cheeks.

She leaned into my touch and let out a small chuckle. "That was pretty cheesy." Hailee joked and smiled up at me.

"But it made you smile, didn't it?" I smirked victoriously. Hailee rolled her eyes and pulled me in for a sweet kiss. "Now, I believe that there is a 24 hour diner just a couple streets away. How about we go there? I bet your craving breakfast now."

Hailee's eyes immediately lit up. "Oh my god, yes! Let's go!" I giggled when she helped me settle back in my seat. After we buckled up again, Hailee began driving off. I could tell her mood was immediately fixed when she started blasting The Weekend on the radio.

Hm... a writer that I really love and have been following for a really long time just followed me back.

I tried to not scream in the middle of class.
