Y/N's POV:

No cops, no friends, no family. Just me and you. What do you say? Tonight at 8? I'll take you to a nice restaurant... just the two of us.

- H <3

I read the second letter over and over again. The first time I read it on the calling card, I was scared shitless. Someone broke into my house, but they didn't take anything but a stupid banana.

They claim to be obsessed with me, in love, possibly. If I were to go, I'd be the stupid character in every horror movie where every sign says no but she ends up going anyway.

I'm about to be that girl. My curiosity overall won against my irrational fear. Man or woman... I felt like I needed to know who was going through all this just to catch my eye.

I did bring a pocket knife and pepper spray just in case. I'm not that stupid.

The restaurant was a pizza place called Mario's. It was completely empty, but open. I glanced at the letter in my hands again before walking in, inhaling slowly to calm my nerves.

The little bell above the door went off when I set foot inside. There was only one worker there and he looked at me with a smile. But then again... he didn't look like he worked here regularly.

"Right this way, madam." He guided me over to the farthest booth in the back. Across from me was a figure wearing a black suit, the menu covering their face.

"Who are you?" It was a blunt, straightforward question but it was the most obvious in the room that I needed to know.

They let out a chuckle, lowering their menu. "Wouldn't you like to know?" Hailee Steinfeld stared at me with a smile.

"Hailee? As in Hailee Steinfeld?" I gapped at her, eyes wide and shock filling my body. "What the fuck?"

"I'm not gonna hurt you." She assured me in a calm tone that made her sound psycho. She gestured with two fingers as the man returned with two glasses of champagne. "Have a drink and relax."

"Do I want to drink that?" I looked at the glass, checking for anything swirling around in there.

Hailee let out a hearty laugh. "I assure you, sweetheart, if I wanted to hurt you, I would've done so already." She took a sip before setting her glass back down. "Do I look like I would?"

"Well you did stalk me and break into my house so I'm not sure what you're capable of." I scoffed yet sipped the champagne slowly. Hailee's face seemed to fall for a split second before smiling it off.

"You're right." She hummed. "I've had... a thing for you for quite some time."

"Why?" I had to ask.

"You're enchanting, Y/N. An ethereal goddess with powerful personality traits and a beautiful face." Her hand reached across the table to cup my jaw. "How can I not like you?"

Call me crazy but Hailee motherfucking Steinfeld is basically confessing her love to me right now. What am I supposed to do? Tell her no? Crazy talk.
