Hailee's POV:

Stumbling out of bed with the gorging smell of alcohol lingering off me like crazy, I managed to make it to my bathroom. Stripping away my clothes and tossing them in my laundry basket — which was overflowing — I groaned and flipped the shower on.

After taking a long warm shower that I very much needed, I threw on some black sweats that were slightly dirty and just a hoodie over my sports bra. I left my apartment to head just down the block to the liquor store.

"Hey, Steinfeld." Jerry, the usual cashier, greets me with an Italian accent. "Your usual?"

"Please." I sigh and watch as he grabs me a pack of Camels and a six pack of beer. "Here." I threw him the total amount on cash as he slid my things over to me.

"Don't be driving with that shit." He would always call out to me when I'm leaving the premises. I grab one of the beers from the pack and flipped the cap off, gulping down a little bit of it. As I turned the corner to head back to my apartment, I suddenly bumped into some random girl who gasped when the bottle of alcohol in my hand dropped to the floor.

"Ah shit." I curse and bend down to sweep the glass up. The girl soon starts helping me as well.

"I'm so sorry about that." She muttered genuinely. When we stand back up I can finally get a good look at her. God, she's so gorgeous. She had the most perfect Y/H/C hair, her beautiful Y/E/C eyes glimmered in the sunlight. "Are you alright?"

"Y-yeah, I'm okay, thanks." I stutter out and throw whatever was left of my beer bottle into the trash. The girl looked at me with a warm smile.

"I can buy you another if you'd like." Usually, as a heavy alcoholic, I'd say yes. But there was something about this girl that was telling me I should say no.

"Oh, nah it's okay, thank you, though." I assure her but my voice is a little shaky. She can tell I'm a little nervous. "I'm Hailee, by the way."

"Y/N." Pretty name for a pretty girl. I thought in my head with a small smile. We gave each other a small handshake before Y/N glanced at her watch. "Shit, I gotta go, I'm late to work. Maybe I'll see you later?" She looked at me hopeful.

I don't know why but I found myself nodding. "Sure." I muttered unfocused, I was too busy staring into her eyes. Y/N chuckled and patted my chest as she gave me a bright grin and a cute wave before leaving. When she was completely gone I glanced down at the cigarettes and alcohol in my hands.

Without a second thought, I dumped them in the trash and made my way back home.
