Daniel's POV
"What is this?" Melody asked while looking at the steak I have prepared for us.
"Our dinner."
I have decided to cook us dinner. I wanted to spend some alone time together. We didn't have the chance after coming back from London. For the past couple weeks, we were so busy. I was busy getting the songs ready for the album and recording had just started. She is busy getting her work done. I know what she is doing through Jared.
If you have secrets, remember not to share it with Jared. He doesn't keep secrets. He tends to share what's on his mind. Especially with me. Because I will always listen to him without commenting much. I guess he just wants a listening ear.
I do not share my secrets with him.
I get to know more about Melody. Jared is more than happy to share with me when I had asked him. She graduated with honours in Business Administrations. Her results were top of the cohort. I wondered why did she join our company.
"I have my dinner already." She answered while avoiding eye contact with me.
"No, you don't." I know that she is rushing her work tonight. She tends to skip dinner when she is busy. I had observed her multiple times. She didn't know that.
"What do you want?" She crossed her arm and her breasts were being pushed up in the meantime. It appeared bigger. She is wearing a sundress with a low neckline. She paired it with a cardigan. I like that she is wearing dress.
"Have dinner with me? Please?" I wondered who has been making her angry. She isn't so grumpy when I last saw her.
I can literally see the wheels turning in her brain. Is having dinner with me such a hard decision to make?
"Fine. After dinner I'll have to go." She begins picking up the fork and knife.
She is hungry. Very hungry.
She looks surprised after having the first bite and was nodding her head slightly while eating the food I have prepared.
I like to cook. Especially for my love ones. I like to see their happy faces and satisfaction when their stomach is full. I have a lot of recipe books in my study room which I took them out frequently. I like to explore different kinds of cuisine. Google has been a great help if I need some special recipes. I wouldn't say I am a great cook, but at least my food is edible and usually my parents and siblings had enjoyed them every much.
I wanted to cook for Melody.
Apparently, she hasn't been eating lunch and dinner. Her last meal was a piece of toast in the morning. Is she on a diet? Her figure is slim. Too skinny already. Is she really so busy? I'll need to have a talk with Jared.
We have been drinking red wine while eating. Red meat and red wine. Perfect match. Just like the girl sitting in front of me right now. Perfect!
She seems to be thirsty. We are in our third bottle and I think I would need to open the fourth one soon. I am still on my second glass.
"Are you alright?" I finally asked. This question has been on the tip of my tongue since she entered my house. She looks so edgy tonight.
"I am fine." She kept her eyes on the empty plate. I was glad that she had finished the food I have specifically prepared for her.
"Look at me." I want to see her face.
She looked up and I can see sadness in her eyes. "What am I to you?" She asked.
Her question caught me by surprise. I didn't expect her to ask me this question. "I... You..." I stammered. Do I tell her that she always has a place in my heart?
"Do you want to know me?" She stood up and starting to walk towards the living area.
"You want to date me?" She continued and I am sure she was drunk. She wasn't walking straight.
I stood up and follow behind her.
"Oh yeah! You don't date. You told her." She laughed and stood in front of the television.
"Who?" I asked. Who was she referring to?
"Where is the remote control? This is not my TV! I want to go home." She announced and started walking towards the lift.
I cannot allow this night to end like this.
I caught up with her and turned her around to look at me.
"I can cook too, you know?" She smiled at me.
Okay, I know. The Korean beef stew was nice.
She struggled free and walks towards the dining table again. She took my wine glass and pour all the red content into her mouth.
She proceeds to walk towards my rooms. I followed closely behind.
"Why are there so many doors?" She touched each door while walking past them. I think she wants to go to my bedroom at the far end.
"Arghh..." She shrieked and fell forward while removing her shoes.
"Are you okay?" I was so close at getting to her before she fell. She started crying when I held her.
"You are here." She touches my cheek. "Where were you when I needed you the most?" I was stunned by her question. What was she talking about?
"I was sad and hurting. I was in a lot of pain. Too painful." She cried even harder and hugged me. My mind was everywhere. Why was she in pain? Who has hurt her?
I do not know how long she had cried on my shoulder. When she stopped, I held her face and forced her to look at me. I wanted to comfort her, but I do not know how to begin with. "Why are you sad?" I asked, hoping to start with the simplest question first.
Her watery eyes held so much emotions that I could not understand. "Please don't hurt me." With that being said, she captured my lips with hers.
She was on fire. We were walking to my bedroom without breaking our kisses. I wanted to stop her; I do not want to take advantage of her when she was not sober. I may be a jerk sometimes, but I know what is right and what's not. But the way she is kissing me, I cannot think straight.
She pushes me down onto my bed and I stared at her in awe. Slowly like a cat, she crawls onto the bed towards me and kneel. She was caging me with her legs. She removed her cardigan and 'I miss you' was all she says before leaning down towards me.
