The entire summer, Louis could only talk about Makayla. He talked about her more than he talked about her before I came to Hogwarts! It was bad. Not only that but I feel as if he talked about her because she and I have become friends, which makes this my fault. Things will only get worse once we get to platform nine and three quarters.
Speaking of platform nine and three quarters, Father just brought us here now. Louis goes in first, as always, then I second. It's crowded on the other side of the wall, as always. You can hear babies crying, children screaming, students laughing. You can hear everything. All including Makayla and her brother arguing. Surprisingly, it isn't Kai that she's arguing this time. It's Draco.
"He's mine!" Makayla shouts.
"Just let me pet him!" Draco groans.
"No! He's my cat. You are not touching him!"
"You are impossible, lady!"
Draco then storms on the train. We can also see Makayla walk on after, with her trunk, and she's holding her cat, Mackerel.
When I look at Louis, I see his face light up at the sight of her. God, I hate that. He says he doesn't like her, but he makes it so obvious that he does.
Note from Louis: I do not, fuck you.
We go on the train and I get in the carriage Jordyn is in, Louis following. Makayla has just barely found the carriage, so one window seat is open. Louis and I push each other out of the way to get the seat, but are quickly interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Children," Makayla's voice sternly hollers over the ruckus in the carriage. We both turn to her, "move out of my seat." Rolling our eyes, I sit next to Jordyn and Louis sits on the other side of the bench from the window so that Makayla can sit down. "Thank you," she says, sitting next to Louis.
Mackerel immediately moves from Makayla's lap to Louis'. As if that's not freaking adorable at all.
Just as the train is about to start, a boy walks in. He's a rather unusual boy, but he looks very familiar. I've seen him somewhere. He has a scar on his eye and dark curly hair. He's also wearing a Slytherin-themed outfit, which is usual for Slytherins because they take pride in being a Slytherin. All Slytherins except my brother.
The boy looks to the side of me at Jordyn, "Do you have any galleons?"
"No, I was never given any," Jordyn replies.
"Fuck," I hear the boy mutter under his breath.
"Why?"
"Because my friends want to buy shit from the cart."
"Sucks for them."
Makayla and Jordyn laugh. I sit there confused, Louis seems to know who this random boy is, but I don't.
"Makayla–" the boy almost finishes his statement before Makayla interrupts.
"You already know I have galleons, but I'm not giving you any."
"That's just rude, Malfoy."
"I know! Now run along, Riddle. Your friends probably miss you."
He rolls his eyes and walks away from the carriage. Riddle? Jordyn's last name is Riddle. Does that mean that they're related?
"Who was that?" I ask.
"That's Mattheo," Makayla replies.
"My brother," Jordyn finishes, unamused.
