Louis
I look at Makayla as she wanders through the corridor. My first expectation is that she got lost like she used to in first year, but instead, she doesn't look lost. She just looks confused. Her eyes grow even more confused at the sight of her brother, Cedric, Jordyn, Kai, the twins, and I. It's quite obvious that she doesn't know what's going on. We don't expect her to know what's going on, but we do expect her to ask about it. She doesn't.
She turns to the dining area of the common room, grabbing a teacup and the boiling tea kettle, pouring the tea into the cup. As the tea pours as loud as it can, Makayla says, "Nice to see that you finally found Annelise."
Cedric and I look at each other, then back at her, "What do you mean?"
"You told me you couldn't find her," Makayla says, setting her teacup down on the counter, "she's right there," she gestures to the spot in between the twins. There's no one there.
"Makayla, have you officially lost it?"
"Excuse me?"
"There's no one there, Makayla," Cedric says just as she turns back around to her tea, annoyed with my comment.
Makayla turns back around to look at us, and looks at the spot between Fred and George. They're just as confused as we are. There is nobody in between them, but according to Makayla, there is.
She gently points her finger toward the spot that she claims Annelise to be sitting in with a confused expression on her face and whispers under her breath, "She was just there... Just a moment ago..."
"Are you alright, Makayla?" Kai asks. I'm dumbfounded by the request of such information coming from Kai Malfoy. Knowing him, he wouldn't care–usually.
It seems Makayla and I have the same general idea, "Since when do you care?"
Kai rolls his eyes and goes back to eating the ice cream that the group of us were originally eating together before we were interrupted by her barging into the room. Sweet Merlin, this place is insane.
A confused expression lingers around her facial. I wonder what she's thinking about. I cannot ask, nor would I ever try to, so I watch from afar as she paces the room back and forth, back and forth–till Jordyn walks in and she stops in her tracks right when she sees her. Then Makayla walks to Jordyn, grabs her arm, and walks up to the girls dormitories. I wonder what they're going to speak about. It's none of my concern nor business, none at all. I'm just rather curious.
Note from Makayla and Jordyn: Or you're just rather nosey.
