I completely disregard the fact that Cedric and Makayla were dating and turn to anger, my dearest friend. My fists subconsciously clench as I watch Makayla leave.
"What is wrong with you?" I ask with a tight jaw.
Cedric looks at me as if I just said the most vile thing on Earth. "Excuse me?"
"She just got in and argument with her dad over the fact that she ran away from home and you just broke up with her? Do you think that she could possibly take anything else right now?" I ask, trying to hold myself back from getting too hostile.
"She's never sad, she'll be fine!"
"She's a human! All humans get sad! You can't say that she doesn't get sad just because she doesn't show it!"
"Whatver," Cedric says, making me want to grit my teeth down. "It's too late, now. It's done."
"I thought you guys were best friends, what fucking happened?"
"She believed I was in love with her horrible personality," he says, turning away before I can punch him in teh face.
People start grabbing their things, shuffling out the door. It's time to go home. Thank Merlin.
