"your funeral was beautiful, i think God heard you coming."

Fudge has stepped down from being the Minister of Magic, Umbridge is no longer a teacher at Hogwarts, and Makayla hasn't left her dorm in days. Pansy says she brings her food to keep her alive, but she doesn't want to say anything else.
Today is Jordyn's funeral. It's crazy how no one knew that she died until Makayla finally had the chance to tell us. She died right in front of her. Good grief, I just want to make sure she's okay.
Annie and I walk into the Great Hall, wearing the same wrobes we wore for Cedric's funeral. I see Jamie, Mattheo, and Theo in the front, shoulders sagged. Makayla is next to Mattheo, two seats open on the other side of her. We walk over.
I sit next to Makayla, Annie sits next to me. It's awkwardly silent, so I glance at her. Tears are streaming down her cheeks as she takes in the dark, black surroundings. I don't give myself a chance to think before I wrap my arm around her shoulders. She, surprisingly, let's me. I don't know why I said surprisingly because she literally let me kiss her.
I look around for a moment before whispering, "Hey... Where's Grayson?"
"Don't ask," she murmurs.
The ceremony is short and sweet. There isn't really much to say. I mean, how many ten minute speeches are you going to give on the last days of school for students who died before people stop caring to come?
I walk out to the Courtyard, looking for one person. I'm quickly distracted, though, by a soft animal rubbing against my leg. To my absent surprise, I see Mackarel. Chuckling, I set my baggage down adn scoop him up into my arms.
"Hey buddy," I whisper, kissing teh top of his head. "Where've you been this whole year?"
I hear a familiar relieved sigh from behind me. When I turn around, I see Makayla, hand on her chest. She must've been looking for Mackarel before running out here. She walks toward me, saying, "Gosh, this dude runs everywhere!"
"Yet he always ends up with me," I joke, making her laugh as I hand her the cat.
"Thank you Louis."
"Of course," I say, smiling warmly.
"Where's Ann?"
"She's on her way, just packing up."
Makayla nods before an annoying voice emerged from behind her, saying, "Hey babe!"
Mia, a girl who's been obsessed with all all year, runs over, giving me a hug with her arms around my neck. I gently pull her arms off me with a sigh, "Mia, we aren't together."
"I know, but I hear that manifesting works!"
"I'm in a relationship, psycho!"
"Ugh, I know... I'm so much better than Jules, Louis!" she exclaims.
"Don't lie."
I glance at Makayla, who seems to be biting the inside of her cheek, looking at the ground, upset. Because I'm so distracted by Makayla, I barely even notice that Mia storms off.
Before I can ask Makayla if she's alright, Annie walks out, asking, "You all ready?"
Makayla just nods and I quickly do the same. We walk to the train and board it quietly, sitting in our usual carriage. Annie sits on her usual side, now alone. I sit next to Makayla, like always, and she just stares out the window as the train starts up.
Annie stares at the empty space next to her. She sighs and stays quiet.
We are not okay.
