"you're a cowboy like me, never wanted love, just a fancy car"

I walk into Defense Against the Dark arts, arguing with Louis, as per usual. This year, Annelise strings behind us.
"Could you honestly be any more unbearable?"
"If it means that you're annoyed, then yes."
"Settle down," a familiar voice calls out from across the room.
Louis and I turn to the voice in unison with each other, unfortunately. Then I see our new teacher.
Remus.
Fucking.
Lupin.
"Dad?" Louis says, shocked.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," I groan.
Louis and Annelise run over to Remus and they both hug him as he chuckles, "What, Malfoy? You aren't happy to see me?"
"Ugh, don't start acting like Louis now."
"Hey!" Louis says, offended.
"Wait," Annelise says, "how do you guys know each other?"
"Um..." I stammer.
I can't tell anyone how I know Remus Lupin. Not even his kids.
"We met earlier this summer through Dumbledore," Remus says.
"Why would Dumbledore introduce you to her?" Louis asks in a disgusting tone.
"Because she's going to be class president and I manage that."
I manage to keep myself from laughing into the abyss of the silence. Louis' puzzled face tells me that he's looking for something to say. It takes a long time because his peasized brain wasn't made for thinking, just for merely being stupid.
Note from Louis: HEY.
After the long period of silence, Louis shouts, "HER?"
That's when I start dying of laughter. I couldn't hold it in anymore. Yes, Remus made it up, but that means that Dumbledore has to make it true. That's the best part! Now, I have to be class president. Score!
"Yes, Louis," Remus says, chuckling as well in effect of his reaction, "Miss Malfoy is going to be our..." He breaks his sentence into two parts with a sigh, staring at my hysterical smile, "class president..."
Louis groans in the most dramatic way possible. It was so dramatic that I wanted to laugh even more. I don't, though, because Remus shakes his head at me not to.
"Why her?" Louis whines.
"Oh, come on, Louis," Remus chuckles. "Why not her?"
"Because—she's—she's—just—"
"Go on," I say, smirking. "Say it."
"She's annoying!"
Just what I wanted to hear.
"Do you think anyone else here is suitable for class president?" Remus asks. Louis stays quiet. "Exactly. Plus, no one else came to Dumbledore to run for president, so Malfoy it is."
Malfoy, Malfoy, Malfoy. That's all anyone fucking calls me. That's how everyone sees me, but you already know that.
"I'll run," Louis says.
"Just to keep her from being president?" Remus snorts.
"Yes."
