I watch Makayla gaze out of the window as the trees and rivers rush by. We're nearly at the station. Soon enough, we won't see each other for a few months. Well—I'll have Annie. But I won't be able to see Grayson, or Makayla. Do I care for Jordyn? No, not really. But Makayla does, so I guess I have to include her in this?
"I'm going to miss you guys," Annie says, breaking the silence.
Makayla looks around at all of us, hesitantly responding, "Me too."
"Why does summer have to be so long?"
"Do you want to go to school—?" I ask.
"Duh! That's where all of you are!"
Makayla shrugs, returning to the window. I watch her reflection, seeing her eyes dart around at all of the things outside before they fly away. Her blonde hair is illuminated by the sun that kisses her cheeks. I'm envious of the sun. Actually, I'm envious of anyone who gets to even be close to her. I wish that she could just crawl into my skin, sometimes, and read my mind, just so she knows that I'm in love with her. It seems that she's smart with anything other than romance. All I want, though, is to be hers, forever—which is already, technically true. I've already oathed myself to it. I refuse to love anyone other than her. She's all I want. One day, I hope, I'll be all she wants as well.

The train comes to a halt as slowly as it can. I watch as the walls of the train station cover my view of the city. There's parents all crowded around the boarding area with a circular sign above them saying, 9 ¾.
I spot my parents have a... civil conversation with the Lupins. Dear God, please don't be stupid, father. I grab my bags and walk out with Annelise, Louis, and Jordyn, who also collected their bags before we exitted the carriage.
When we walk out the train door, my ears instantly being overwhelmed by the loudness of the parents and children excited to finally see each other again. All I need to do is get to my parents as quickly as I can. I need to go home.
By the time I reach mother and father, Draco, Halston, Chase, Kai, and Kirsten have already found them. Mr. Lupin and Miss Lupin are still vacantly looking for their kids. A blonde, shaggy haired boy stands at their feet. I suppose that this boy is Christopher. He's cute—for a kid. I look to my mother's feet and see Nora, who is smiling at Christopher.
Oh, yeah. They're gonna get married. Why? Because I said so and if they don't, I'll murder someone.
I set my things on a trolly when Louis and Ann walk over. Mackerel sits on top of the trunk that I am just about to set things on and I sigh, annoyed. That's when I hear Louis drop his things on his trolly and run over to pick up Mackarel. I mouth thank you and set my things down. Louis nods, walking back over to his trolly holding my cat! The manners in this boy are non-existant, I swear. I walk over to him, trying to grab the cat, but he lifts Mackarel in the air, out of my reach. So annoying.
After a few seconds of trying to get the cat out of the air, I hear my father interrupt, "Say your goodbyes, Makayla, we're leaving now."
"Okay, father," I say, then turn back to Louis, jumping for the cat. "Give me my cat before I strangle you!"
He laughs, lowering Mackarel from the sky, laying him in my hands, "Okay, okay—no strangling today."
"Thank you!" I exclaim, annoyed, walking over to my trolly, setting Mackarel ontop of the trunks, talking to him, "Now you can sit here—"
"Makayla?" Louis says. I turn to him. "Can you—maybe—not—bring any more trouble here next year—? Same for Harry!"
I laugh, "I'll surely try—see you in August, Louis."
"See you in August."
