It was all happening again. Seeing his dead body. But this time, I was forced to look at it, and the wails escaping Amos Diggory's mouth were louder. There stood a deranged figure, the image I had created in my head of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Ghostly and frail. He stood there, over my baby brother, and he was still. I couldn't move, I couldn't scream.

I shot out of bed, hyperventilating. I was coved in cold sweats, fear running through me like a cold blade. My lip started trembling vigorously as tears built up in my eyes and started falling down. I was hugging my self tightly, silently sniffling.

"He's back." I cried silently, while rocking myself and shaking my head. "No, no, no, it's fine, it's fine!" I told myself. I clenched my heart, something I seemed to do a lot in times out of pain or fear.

Suddenly, there was a tapping sound on the pane of my window. It made me freeze in fear, slowly turning towards the source of the sound. It was an owl. He was small, with big green eyes. Attached to its talon was a letter. It was from Sophie. My hand still shaking, I opened the letter.

Dear Lindsey,

How has your summer been so far? I know it's only been a week but I already miss my best friend! My parents dearly want to meet you! Oh and I must tell you that Ginny said that you could come over the her house with me next Thursday! Only if that works for you of course! Any way, what do you plan on doing this summer? Are you still talking to marvel? Well I hope you get back to me soon.

With love, your amazing best friend, Sophie Robbingsworth

P.S the owls name is Perseus, he likes head pats. :)

I was surprised Sophie even wrote seeing as she claimed to dislike writing, but her words showed her character. I pet Perseus's head before pinning Sophie's letter to the wall, and starting a letter to reply.

Dearest Sophie,

Im so overjoyed to be receiving your letter, I had just awoken from a terrible night terror, and this calmed me greatly. My summer has been positively boring so far, Timothy has been going through an attention faze, he has been so very needy! And my older brother Joshie has been doing summer school, and ignores me during the afternoons, he doesn't like the ideas of witches and wizards, I know he still loves me though, and he is never purposely mean. I miss you too, I can't wait to come over this summer! I'll have to talk to my parents about this Thursday, but I do hope I can come! I don't have any major plans this summer, I believe my brother is introducing us to his girlfriend, but... and no I haven't been talking to Marvel at all, in fact I've been avoiding writing to him. My parents are making me discontinue our relationship, I must wait till I'm 16. I will admit that I was angry at first, but I think that me going to Hogwarts being many miles away from them is hard enough on them, and there such good parents, I don't want to make a big deal out of it. It's only a year and two months away! I do hope to see you ASAP.

Your best friend, Lindsey Boris.

I wrapped my letter in an envelope, and attached it to Perseus's talon, giving him another pat before sending him off. I got settled back onto my blankets and said a little prayer, then I started naming colors. It was a technic I used to fall asleep. It worked and soon I fell asleep, nightmare free.

The Next Morning:

"LINDSEY, LINDSEY GET UP, GET UP ITS MORNING, MUMMYS MAKING PANCAKES!!!" Timmothy jumped on my chest, knocking the wind out of me.

"Get of me you little goblin!" I pushed him off, covering my head with my blanket.

"C'mon Lindsey, there blueberry filled!!" He pulled my blanket off me, leaving me laying there cold.

I groaned, a tear escaping my puffy eyes as I yawned. I got up, and started making my way downstairs. "Morning love!" My mum kissed my head, I just stared at her and wiped my eyes, too tired to respond. "Here you go!" She put a stack of pancakes on my plate. "So have you talked to that boy you were 'dating' yet?" She asked.

I shook my head, "I don't exactly have a way to message him, neither of us have owls?" I said, groggy. She looked at me for a second, then she smiled.

"Ok" she picked timmothy up and placed him at the table. "I miss when you were this small!" She commented. "Now look at you, you've got a ex-boyfriend." I rolled my eyes with a slight smile.

"So uh, I was messaging Sophie last night, and-" I stuffed a piece of pancake in my mouth as my mum interrupted me.

"How did you message her?" She asked.

"Oh she has an adorable owl named Perseus!" I told her, "Anyways, she wants me to join her on her visit to her friend Ginny, I went to that ball with her brother, but their only free next Thursday, and I know how you feel about me going to peoples houses you don't know, but you have met Sophie, and you can trust me." I said quickly. "So may I go?"

She sighed as she thought. "Ok, you can go, but if you feel uncomfortable at all, you come home, ok?! How will you get their anyway?" She wondered.

"I'll message her and work out the details, thank you mum!" I kissed her cheek.

"Sissy, will you go to the park with me?" Timothy asked me eagerly.

I smiled at him. "Of course Timothy!" he smiled widely at me.

"Let me go get my boots!!" He ran off.

Thursday:

"LIN!" Sophie ran towards me, before tightly hugging me. "IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU! Where's your baby brother!?" She asked, looking around.

"I'm so happy to see you too, and Timothy went with my mum and dad to the store." She made a pouty face. "I'm almost done packing, follow me." I pulled her upstairs to my room.

"Lindsey who's here?" Joshie asked. He had been home today with a cold. He looked towards Sophie, and slightly straitened his poster.

"Oh Joshie, this is my best friend Sophie, Sophie this is Joshie!" I introduced.

Sophie went and shook his hand. "nice to meet you!" she smiled brightly. Joshie shook her hand stiffly and walked back to his room. "You ready?"

"Yup, how are we getting there?" I looked at the window and saw a broom. "Don't tell me we're flying!?!" She smiled.

"Don't be a worry wart, my dad taught me, it'll be fine!!"

It was in fact not fine, Sophie was a good flyer, but I have motion sickness. Soon enough we made it to our destination. Sophie got up and greeted Ginny. Then she dragged us inside. "Mummy, daddy my friends are here!" Ginny called, bringing us into a room full of red heads.

"Hello dears!" Ginny's mum (I assume) said.

"Her hairs as red as ours." The two identical boys commented.

"Girls this is my family! This is Fred and George" she pointed at the twins "And this is Ron, oh but you know that. And these are my parents."

"Hello Weasley's" Sophie greeted. I just gave a little wave.

"My- my dear, your pale! Sit down, have some tea!" Mrs. Weasley ushered me to the table, and began serving me some green tea as Ginny and Sophie sat down.

"Mum's right you do look unusually pale." Ginny commented.

"She gets motion sickness, suppose taking brooms wasn't the best idea." Sophie laughed.

"I'm fine!" I sipped down my tea, before Ginny ushered us upstairs.
