I had finally seen Draco, I knew he was ok- well at least not being tortured by 'him'. But I was tired. I didn't want to be on this seemingly endless adventure anymore. As spoiled as it may sound, I wanted to be able to sleep till noon, and eat oatmeal. I wanted to be able to read under the covers, I wanted life back. So I decided to not leave with the trio. I would stay here as long as it was fine with Bill and Fleur.

Not wanting to be too rude- seeing as they were already lending me and Luna the guest bedroom - I tried staying out of the way. I did my dishes, cleaned my mess, and stayed in my room most of the time. Bill and Fleur were extremely kind people, and familiar- reminding me a bit of my parents. I was much happier staying here rather than with the trio.

I often spent time outside With the grave of a house elf named dobby. (and with luna) I didn't really know dobby, but he sadly reminded me of Hoppy. "Hello dobby," I smiled, sitting next to his tombstone. "Don't mind if I sit here do you?" I asked as if he would respond. I looked at the ocean while resting my arms on my knees. "I wonder if you knew hoppy..." my eyes flickered towards the grave. "He's an extremely kind elf, with exceptionally large ears. You know once I got sick and he prepared me and my... Friend..." I smiled blushing "...Soup." I laughed. Even though I liked it here, I did miss having people my age to at least talk to.

"Lindsey?" a soft, french voice asked behind me.

I turned to the voice, fleurs voice. "Yes, fleur?" I asked.

"I made lunch, would you like to join us?" she asked, rapping her worn cardigan around her as a cold wind blew by.

I smiled "sure" I stood up, as my entire back popped. And walked with fleur. "I'm really thankful for you letting me stay here, for the time being, I promise ill get out of your and bill's hair as fast as I can," I told her.

"It's no problem, really." She smiled. "With your red hair it's feels much like having one of my in-law around" she joked.

I laughed "yes well, I've been compared to the Weasleys as many times as I can count. Guess that's what it means being a red-headed witch." I smiled as my belly growled. "Excuse me" I blushed.

Bill, Luna, and I sat at the table as fleur served us soup. I was thankful for the meal so I insisted on doing the dishes afterward. Then I headed to my room.

Besides the fact that Luna and I had to switch between the floor and the bed every day, it was quite calming here at night, the waves beating against the sand relaxed my soul, but I still found myself wide awake. I was thinking of Draco. The scared, tired look on his face. and I had thought about our kiss... my first kiss. it was not at all how I had imagined it, but never the less it was almost perfect because it was with him. I wanted to be with him. But something being 'normal' About our relationship was far in the future- if there at all.

my thoughts then switched from Draco over to fleur and bill. I felt as if I couldn't repay their kindness toward me. I may be reflecting, but there was something so motherly about fleur that made me comfortable, and bill reminded me of joshie weirdly. Thinking about my family made me sad. I wonder how they're doing? If they're happy... with that thought I fell asleep.

....

I was wakened by a pit in my stomach, wasn't sure why, but it was there. The clock next to my bed said it was 5 AM. I was used to this, it was the time I had been waking up since traveling with the trio. I would usually just read a book, or sneak out my window to the beach. I tried to quietly sneak over to the window, but a faulty board made the loudest creeping sound, waking Luna up. "Oh, good morning Lindsey Boris." She said groggily.

"Sorry for waking you Luna" I apologized.

"no problem really- the wazzybats like this time of day." She smiled.

"right..." I said. I wasn't gonna asked, but out of bordem I gave in "what's a wazzybat?" I laughed slightly.

"they're little bug-like creatures that burrow themselves in your hair and give you luck." She smiled. "But they're so exceptionally small only a professional magizoologist can find them."

"I must be lacking then, I seem to have the worst luck in the wizarding world." I joked half seriously. Talking to Luna about such things took the anxiety away from me a bit. "Say, care to tell me about any other creatures?" I asked.

she seemed to light up a bit as we began talking.

"so your dating Draco?" she said in disdain.

I blushed, "I'm not sure about dating..."

"I don't like Malfoy that much. he teases me more than others do." I felt slight guilt.

"Sorry..." I frowned.

but she surprisingly smiled. "although he seems... better these past couple of years."

Soon it was 8 am.

after a quick laugh, I checked the clock. "I'm sure fleur and bill are up by now, we should probably head down," I said stretching. Luna nodded her head." Mind if I change first?" I asked. Luna shook her head leaving to room, then I put on my recently washed blouse and trousers. Then waited for Luna.

When we had met fleur downstairs the wore and anxious look on her face. "Lindsey! Luna! I was just about to wake you. Come come, we must tell you something" fleur said, ushering us towards the kitchen where bill was.

"morning bill," I said.

"We just get t news from Hogwarts..." he said sparing no time for chit-chat. "They're preparing for a fight..."
