"you know, Ronald Weasley was in the infirmary just the other week..." I said to Draco as I sat against the stall in the abandoned laboratory, reading a book. "he drank some wine that was poisoned... heard it was a gift for Dumbledore." I put my book down and looked at Draco, he had a look of guilt in his eyes. "I won't judge if it was you... I hope you know that."he gulped before he quietly admitted it to me. "it was."
"there's no other way? you have to kill him?" I asked as I put my bookmark into my book, and stood.
"I've already told you this..." he said as he leaned against the sink, his head hanging low.
"I know..." I went and stood next to the boy I had surprisingly become close with. I could tell there was still a wall between us, a wall that would most likely be there forever unless there was an end to this dynasty of death eaters. "I've been wondering... you never told me where you have been sneaking off to all year..."
he looked at me. "there are certain things I cant say... even to you" he frowned.
I smiled at him, putting my hand on his shoulder. "I get it..." my hand slid off his arm "... Forgive me for asking..." it was quiet for a while, I clenched my fist at the sour mood. "Cmon." I pulled at his arm.
"what?" He looked at me with surprise, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean 'cmon'?"
"uh, you go to your dorm and get ready!" I said slightly flustered. "We're gonna go to Hogsmeade!"
"your kidding? I can't just sneak out and go to Hogsmeade! I already have too much to do regarding..." he argued.
"That is precisely why we gotta do this." I told him "you haven't had any time this year to be... free? Happy?"
he looked at me for a short while before nodding his head "ok.." he agreed reluctantly.
"brilliant! I'll meet you at the Hogsmeade entrance!" I smiled.
.....
I rubbed my arms as I looked at my breath in the cold spring air. "Your late." I smiled at Draco- who was wearing a familiar pink scarf.
"You're lucky I came." He rolled his eyes "it's freezing!" He said wrapping his arms around himself.
"there's the old Draco I know" I laughed, rubbing his arms trying to warm him up. "Now where do you wanna go first? We could go to madam puddifoots again?" I asked, pulling on his sleeve.
"as if. that place is too frilly!" He said annoyed.
"cmon, knock off the attitude grumpy. It was just a suggestion." I smiled rolling my eyes. I hadn't expected any less from Draco.
He sighed "fine, it's up to you."
surprised and flustered, I let out an odd sound, "uh! Ok." I shook my head "madam puddifoots it is!" As the warm hugged me from inside Madam puddifoots, an unfamiliar bell rang our names together. "I don't remember that," I said like the sound of it. Draco hurry and sat at one of the tables that crowded the small tea shop. I soon sat next to him. "I don't remember it being so... pink." I shrugged.
"you were reading, didn't pay any attention to anything but your book." He said. "How many times have you read that book anyway?"
I thought for a while "...maybe five times..." I whispered, embarrassed.
he scoffed rolling his eyes "Merlin Lindsey."
"I know. I have a problem." I laughed. "I'm a nerd."
" you're a dork." He corrected.
