It seemed like it was finally over. The fighting, the explosion, all they left were the dead. No one had won.

I sniffled seeing so many bodies around me. "Lindsey..." a voice said from behind me. I turned to see Sophie, who sat next to me on a pillar.

"Sophie" I whispered as I grabbed her arm. I quickly wiped a few stray tears from my eyes. "Have you seen-"

Sophie nodded her head. "Fred, Amy, professor lupin, and Maisey, all gone..." she rubbed her temple.

I felt nauseous- the last thing I expected to feel after so much death. I leaned my head over Sophie's shoulder. "Did Amy ever come to talk to you?" I asked.

"no?..." she inquired looking at me. "Why?"

I nodded my head. "She, uh- she came to apologize to me, I reckon she was going to you next," I told her. She just shrugged.

"Have you seen Draco?" She asked. I became anxious as I shook my head. "I'm sure he's fine." She told me as her lips knitted together.

"Yeah" I tried convincing myself. It didn't work, in fact, it made the pain bubbling within me spread. "No" I sobbed. Sophie hugged me rubbing my back. Then I realized something... "cry," I told Sophie looking at her. "Cry a real wholehearted cry!"

"what do you mean?" She said already teary-eyed.

" you're always comforting me." I told her. "I've never seen you sob till you couldn't anymore... but it's ok to cry! Here and now!" I smiled looking at her, tears staining my face.

I saw her lip quiver as if she were holding back. But as a flood drowns a town her tears drowned her emotion, and it seemed that we both balled our eyes out for hours.

As I said, it seemed like it was over...

.....

Soon everyone was gathered outside. He was back, Voldemort. And harry was dead... "No." I gasped at the news.

"Harry Potter is dead. From this day forth, you put your faith in me." Voldemort smiled sadistically, pointing at himself... Hope was vanishing from the air as more and more students registered the news. "Harry Potter is dead!" he shouted as all his followers laughed and shouted. "Now is the time to declare yourself! Come forward and join us! Or die..."

I looked around the clump of students glumly.

However, Relief rushed over me as I saw a tuft of blonde hair and silver eyes. After a moment of hesitation, I slowly started pushing my way toward him but someone called his name as soon as I did.

"Draco." A gruff voice said. I looked over to see a beautiful dark-haired woman and a less beautiful blonde-haired man.

The woman called Draco's name again and soon all attention was on him. He looked around, silently begging for someone to tell him not to go, soon he lost that hope and he took the first step toward his parents. "DRACO!" I shouted, shoving people away as I ran towards him "DRACO WAIT!" As he looked threw the crowd of people his eyes fell on me and he slowly made his way toward me. As soon as I got to him I wrapped him in a loving hug. "Draco..." I chuckled as he slowly wrapped his arms around me. Soon my hug became one of fear, fear that if I let go he would leave- even though I knew this not to be true.

"decided to stay with a mudblood" Voldemort laughed behind us. Still holding hands we looked towards the army of death eaters now in front of us, but Draco's eyes were on his parents. His mum held a look of fear, surprise, and slight disappointment, his father's gaze held malice. I looked at Draco's face. Sadness filled his eyes as he looked strictly at his mother whom he loved ever so dearly. I leaned my face into his shoulder as I squeezed his hand, trying to comfort him. He squeezed my hand back as he turned his body towards me. "This is your last chance," Voldemort said to the crowd of students next to us. Soon Longbottom limped forward, surprising us all.

"Well, I must say I hoped for better" Voldemort joked, making his crowd of death eaters laugh. "And who might you be young man?"

"Neville Longbottom..." the death eaters laughed again.

"Well, Neville I'm sure we could find a place for you in our ranks..."

"I'd like to say something," Neville exclaimed.

Voldemort looked mad for being interrupted, "well Neville I'm sure we would all be fascinated to hear what you have to say..."

"It doesn't matter that harry's gone, people die every day! Friends, family... Yeah, we lost harry today, but he's still with us! in here!" he pointed to his chest. "So is Fred... Remus... Tonks... All of them. They didn't die in vain! But you will! Cause your wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us, for all of us!" then he pulled out the sword... "It's not over!" as he said this last thing, harry came alive again, well he jumped out of hagrid's arms at least. Taking everyone by surprise...
