"Merlin Soph! Look at him, he looks as if he hasn't slept in weeks!" I complained talking about Draco.

"your practically twins..." she sighed "you sure he didn't slip you something? You've been obsessing over him for weeks!" she asked frantically.

"slip me something?" I asked.

"you know... a love potion? Fred and George have been selling 'em remember," she told me.

"oh haha, I'm honestly just concerned, there have been multiple times I've seen him sneaking away, and poof he's just gone!" I explained, carefully. "gives me a headache just thinking about it"

"Then don't!" she told me "what are you working on in homework right now?"

"well, soon we're going to be learning about silent magic. surprisingly that's the easy part! I first need to learn, and/or re-learn all the spells we've learned in DADA..." I sighed. "for instance, I can cast expelliarmus, but I'm not good at it. and compared to the rest of the class I might as well quit now... say? do you know how to cast the Patronus charm?" asked, smirking.

"yes? but I don't know how to teach it? I mean I could tell you what harry taught me I guess?" she questioned.

....

"I can't do it..." I groaned.

"Are you thinking of your happiest memory?" soph asked putting her finger to her lips.

"I don't know!" I sighed thinking of all the happy memories I could. "arg!" I clapped my hands to my face. "this is so stupid! I'm never gonna graduate!" I yelled sitting on the ground outside.

"Woah! Lindsey calm down. this spell isn't even required, you don't need to learn it. let's just go inside! if later you still wanna learn it then we will. but I think you need a break." Sophie said softly.

"I'm stupid," I whined.

"no you're not, just not in the right head space." she said patting my back. "what's wrong?"

"I-" I was about to tell her but again I saw a blonde tuft of hair. "I'll be right back" I ran after the hair, sure it was Draco. but again... he wasn't there. I shrunk into a ball, sure I was going crazy. "how?"

"Lindsey!" Sophie yelled. "what on earth!" I looked at Sophie whose cheeks were pink from running after me. "you need to tell me what's going on!" she shouted at me.

"nothing going on! I'm fine." I rested my head against the wall.

"cut the crap! that's obviously not true" she sat next to me. "just tell me... please?"

I couldn't, because I didn't even know what was going on. "I don't know..."
