When people talk about war they never can fully explain how terrifying it is. How many casualties there are. Seeing all the already injured people in the great hall made me realize just how much I valued the people I love, and the person I love.
I decided that after this war, if- when we won I would do anything and everything I could to make them happy and healthy. I wanna live my life to the fullest. I saw many familiar faces among the injured, and depressingly amongst the dead. I helped people with minor injuries while the real healers helped with the severe.
with each explosion, I got more anxious, and it took everything to make sure my hands didn't shake while healing people. My lips bleed from chewing on them. I went from bed to bed helping people, then I saw an all too familiar face.
"marvel..." I whispered. He mustn't have heard me, as he was breathing heavily trying not to groan in pain. His right leg was bent oddly, and it was ridged. "Merlin's- oh..." I took a breath and walked to him. "Let me help," I said down to him. he looked up to me, pain evident in his bloodshot eyes. His brows were furrowed, and his lips were straight as a line. He looked away from me and nodded his head. I cleared my throat and checked the bones in his leg, it was luckily a pretty clean break. I got my wand out and pointed it at his leg. "This May hurt..." I told him. I focused hard on the spell. It was quite a difficult one, and I only had seen madam Pomfrey use it- I had never practiced it myself -but I had to try. I gave him a rag to bite into as I aligned the bones. I could hear him scream. I winced "ok," I said with teary eyes. "Brackium Emendo" I whispered. I heard a crack, and marvel screamed once more, then he gasped.
he slowly moved his leg. It looked good as new. "Thanks..." he nodded in gratitude quietly.
"it doesn't hurt too bad does it..." I asked.
"It's fine..." he said, trying to stand up.
I pushed him back on the bed "wait a minute! You're not going back out there are you?! You've already used so much energy on that leg!"
"I'm fine!" He demanded standing once again. "Janes out there." He told me.
"Jane?" I asked.
"my older sister... she's an Auror. I've gotta go." He said strictly as I watched my ex-flame sprint away.
