Clementine's

Boring.

What a boring life.

Why did I have to be born a princess—and, unfortunately, the next reigning queen? Why couldn't they just give the throne to my brother, Deen?

Yeen—my younger sister—and I don't really care about the throne. But Deen, our youngest, actually wants to be king. Still, our mother insisted that I should be the one to run the kingdom.

Like, what the fuck?

And since it's the Queen's order, I must not defy it—or else I'll be thrown out of the kingdom. Not that I'd mind, honestly.

I'm a multi-billionaire. I can survive on my own. But I'm afraid my mother will just force Yeen to take my place. That's one of the reasons I'm still here, even though I hate every bit of my mother's soul.

My sister loves our mother too much, and I don't think she'd run away with me if I asked her to.

So, I have no choice but to stay in this boring palace.

We are pure-blooded royals. My father is Italian—and so is my mother.

We learned to speak Filipino because most of our nannies were Filipinos. Filipinos are known for being loyal, which is why our grandparents chose Filipino nannies to raise us when we were kids.

Beau and Mallory are half-Filipino, so we often speak Tagalog and Bisaya—especially when we want to talk behind someone's back at school.

I'm fluent in Filipino, French, Spanish, Chinese, English, and Italian. I had to learn different languages since I'm also a businesswoman.

"You're really going to the Philippines?" Beau—one of my best friends—asked. She's actually trained to be my bodyguard, but I don't see her that way.

Beau, Ray, and Mallory are the only people I trust here inside the palace.

Mallory's not around right now because I asked her to look after some of my businesses in the Philippines, especially the school my grandparents built there.

Ray, our other best friend, is currently looking after my younger brother, who's studying in the UK.

I actually have a lot of businesses that my mother has no idea about. That's because I registered most of them under my friends' surnames.

Like the Griffin Group of Hospitals.

Perks of being born wealthy.

Sometimes, I really wish I wasn't born into a royal family.

"Yes. I want to see my Nonna's school," I replied while sipping my wine.

She nodded. "When are we leaving?" she asked, pouring wine into her glass.

I raised a brow. "You're coming with me?"

"Of course. I'm your bodyguard, after all," she smirked.

"Bodyguard, my ass. I don't see you as one," I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever. I'm coming whether you like it or not."

I just shrugged. She's really persistent sometimes.

"Welcome to the Philippines, Your Majesty."
