Run like a Rebel - The Score

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yani comes back and starts running away, hoping to buy time to think of a plan. His plan is stopped when he's grabbed by blue magic once more, and instead of weapons attacking him, it's bone attacks. Something he no longer can use. Anger flares in him as he tries to dodge. He comes back again and screams. He forgets that he should be running and tries to attack again.
Yani comes back. He tries to use his sword to deflect and shield himself. He doesn't know how, he's never had to use a shield. He's never been weak enough to need one. He doesn't like the feeling. A bone flies through his socket.
Yani comes back again. He gasps for air. He didn't even see that last attack coming. He tucks into a roll to dodge a battle axe. How does Blue have access to all these weapons? He can only access what he has in his inventory. Why does Blue get to cheat? This isn't fair! There is nothing he can do to protect himself from the axe tearing through his armor as if it didn't exist. He loses the bottom half of his body. He lost the bottom half of his ribs.
Yani comes back. He growls as he lunges toward Blue, swinging his sword at Blue armor. His armor must be just as weak, or even weaker than Yani's. Yani's is the best, his armor is so much more superior to Blue's. He is superior to Blue. He refuses to keep losing to this weak version of him. His sword shatters on the impact of Blue's armor. Yani stumbles back, his arm numb from the vibrations.
He stares at Blue in horror and fear. "What?" Yani glances down at what little remains of his sword, "How the hell did you do that?! What was that?!" He doesn't get a response.
Yani comes back. He dies before he can figure out what hit him. He comes back again. He dies again. He comes back to die again. Over and over. It repeats too many times for Yani to count. After so long, Yani comes back and lays on the floor. He can barely breathe, everything hurts so much with how much stress this has been on his soul and magic. Blue stands over him, huffing for air as he brings his sword down. It isn't an accurate attack, the sword gets stuck in Yani's collarbone.
Yani lets out a yowl of pain before staring up at Blue. "What the hell are you?"
Blue looks down at him with a scoff. "Dunno, but better than you."
Killer looks down at the two of them. "It doesn't look like he needs help with anything. I think Blue has it covered."
Nightmare stares with wide sockets. "Oh." He look over at Cross and Dream, "he could've kicked our ass alone so many times, couldn't he?"
Dream shrugs, "I mean... Yeah. All of us Stars had rigorous training from Ink in our weapons and attacks."
Error lets out a weak 'oh' as Cross rolls his shoulders. "You have to understand, us Stars are probably the only ones qualified to go to war against another multiverse or even the creators as support for Ink. He wouldn't want us to be there, but we would be able to fight and defend ourselves and others."
Nightmare nods slowly before turning to watch Blue kill Yani once more. "I see... Then we don't need to be here then. We may just get in the way."
"I would have to agree. Creation did say to have faith in Blue, and sort of left it at that. We should get closer to where we came from." Error looks away from the fight as he moves toward the edge of the pillar.
Dream turns toward Error with an affronted expression. "Leave him alone to fight Yani?! No! I'm not-"
"Dream!" Nightmare grips his twin's shoulders, "we aren't leaving him behind. We are retreating for now so we can come up with a proper plan to bring him home or to help. Running in right now would not help anyone and is more likely to get one of us hurt or killed. Okay, Dream?"
Dream looks off to the side. "I don't like it, but you're right." Dream sighs as he leans into his brother's arms. "Alright, we'll move back and wait for Blue."
