Run like a Rebel - The Score
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Killer shifts his grip on his knives as he shifts from side to side. He takes a deep breath before stepping through the door. He watches as the door closes behind them. He sighs before turning around. They all look at each other with grim looks. They have no idea what's been happening or where to start looking for Blue. Already, one major difference is the lighting. Everything is covered in thick black ink and paint, yet they can see everything just fine. A haze of light colors everything a tint of blue. Dream looks around with worry, trying to spot anything that would point them in the right direction. His bow, in hand, and arrow notched. Ready to be pulled back and fly, Dream's eye pips shift around, looking for any sign of danger. A resounding boom leaves the ground shaking under all of them. Dream drops his arrow to grab onto Nightmare for support. Killer grabs Error and Cross before kneeling for more stability.
Dream looks around wildly for the source of the sound. "What was that?!"
Killer looks around, "Not sure, did you see anything from where you are?" He looks down at the two he dragged down with him. "Are you two alright?"
Cross grunts with a nod as Error sits up. "As good as I'll ever be. Thanks." Error nods and then turns to study the horizon. "I think one of the towers over there fell."
Nightmare stares off in the distance as the cloud of powdered paint settles. He brings a hand to hover over the staff tied to his belt. Squinting, he looks over to see a beam of light move in an arch before cutting out. Night blinks at the familiar sound of gaster blasters before tensing. That must be where Blue is. They haven't seen who he's fighting, but they can guess. If Dream was fighting Shattered, then Blue must be fighting Yani.
"Creation, please please tell me that Blue is going to be okay." Error whispers to the soul half in his pocket. He squeezes his sockets shut. He doesn't have enough magic or energy to deal with this again. He can't go through another fight. It's been too long, peace has been too long for him to be in shape to fight. Error leans into the warmth lacking a physical body that wraps around him. It reminds him of arms wrapping around his shoulders, he can almost picture Ink hugging him from behind and leaning into his back.
My shining save star, my baby blue, my pride and joy will live. Don't worry darling destroyer, he will prevail. Error feels himself sag in relief as a ghost of a hand strokes his face. The phantom weight of a head rests on his shoulder as he feels warmth wrap him in a hug once more. He is stronger than most. Stronger than any know. While you are my champion, he is my guiding light. My strongest soldier, one who can level a battlefield. One to turn the tides. One to bring victory. One to bring hope to everyone. Yani has no more special attacks. He lost them when he gained two more soul traits.
Error sighs as the warmth disappears. It was more than he needed but enough to calm him down. He stands up and the rest turn to him for a plan of what to do. Hoping that Creation had given them a plan of action. Error looks at all of them before looking back to where Blue is fighting. To fight with him? Or to trust him? Would they mess everything up if they interfered? It's too thin of a line to walk for him to know for sure.
He doesn't know what to do.
