"Colin, when are you gonna find a real woman to bring home to us?" His mother nagged as she often did. Colin had never had a REAL girlfriend since high school and well, that's another story.

"I don't know mom. Things like that takes patience."

"Well you're never gonna find them if you keep going to clubs and taking a different girl home every time you go."

"Where are you hearing this stuff from?"

"I see everything that's posted about you. I'm not stupid, I can work twitter just as well as you do." He sighs at the fact that his mother even believes the stupid rumors that are made up about him.

"Mom, I'm in the middle of the season, I'm starting the game Monday night, there is no where in my schedule to even go to a club. Stop believing everything you see."

"Well you don't ever tell us stuff."

"Mom, I tell you everything you guys need to know. Having a girlfriend is one of those need to knows...so I will tell you when I find the right girl."

"She's out there sweetie, and she'll probably come to you."

"Oh no. I have girls coming to me all the time and they want nothing close to a relationship."

"Well what do they want...your money?"

"That...and other things..."

"COLIN!" She said in a stern voice.

"What....you asked. Like I said, when I find her, you'll be the first to know."

"I better be." He smiles.

"I love you mom."

"I love you too. We'll see you at the game on Monday."

"Okay. Can't wait."

**********************************************************************

Monday night gets here, Colin's locked in and ready to go. That night he was invincible, well it seemed like he was. Shredded the Chicago Bears' defense to pieces. After the game, his ego was slightly boosted.

Post game conferences; he's really not the one to give elaborate answers, for whatever reason. It's just how he is.

Tuesday morning, he has to report to the PR team to address the issue.

"Basically Colin, as quarterback of this team, and potentially the face of the franchise, we need more." Sophia nagged.

"Face of the franchise...really?" He said in awe. As if starting this game wasn't enough, they already think he could be the face of the franchise. That's a huge thing...and the ego gets a little more boosted.

"Colin, focus. As the quarterback, it's definitely your obligation to talk to the media after the games."

"I don't like the media. Like, at all. Before my first game of actually starting, there are already rumors circling around about my off field activities. Rumors that my mother sees."

"Okay...and those are rumors that can easily be shut down."

"You don't get it...they ask stupid questions that they already know the answer to, that why I give generic answers, and the less I say the better.....I'm not trynna create a target on my back."

"Colin you're the quarterback, you're always gonna be a target, wether it's on the field or off the field. Which is why you have us, but you need to give us something dude."

"Fine......I'll try my best. Not promising anything."

"Only started one game, and you're already being a pain in my ass."

"I love you too Soph. What's this space all cleared for?" He asks noticing how the other desk is cleaner than usual.

"We got a new girl coming in to intern for us until she graduates in December...and if she's good enough to hire, then that's what we'll do."

"She good looking?"

"Colin...Stay. Away."

"Why?"

"Because she's a good girl."

"And I'm not a good guy?"

"You're okay. You'd be better if you didn't have to come to my office this morning to have this talk."

He rolls his eyes. "Whatever....anything else?" As he says that, there's a knock at the door.

{Colin's POV}

I guess I can try my best to give the most elaborate answers as possible. I just hate answering their stupid questions. But I'm not gonna let this little meeting bring me off my high. Last night was crazy and I've never played like that before in my life, and what makes it better is that it was on one of the biggest stages...Monday Night Football. My first start, all eyes were on me, and despite the pressure, we pulled out a win. I get ready to leave the office when there's a knock on the door and in walks this girl, and from that point on, my facial expression was as if I seen a ghost...I know this girl.
