After Colin takes Riley, I meet up with Melanie for lunch. I get there and she's already sitting down, drinking a margarita.

"Damn...couldn't wait." I say sitting down.

"Nope."

"Ma'am can I start you off with something to drink."

"I'll have whatever she's having."

"I'll have it right out."

"Where's Riley?"

"With Colin."

"Awwww, how cute. So is he gonna make this public?"

"I hope not. I don't need all his little groupies to be searchin for who the baby mama is."

"Please don't refer to yourself as a baby mama, because you are so much more than that."

"I know I am, but to them hoes, I'm just a lucky bitch that struck gold."

"You kinda did though. I'm not calling you a bitch, but I mean the man's a pro athlete. Your daughter is set for life."

"I didn't strike gold, Riley did. Striking gold would actually being in a relationship with him...and just being with him for him."

"So why don't you?"

"Were you not listening when I explained to you what went down when I told him."

"I was listening, but do you really think he's just that done with you."

"You don't know him like I do. He good for cutting people off."

"Not the mother of his child though. That boy still has some feelings for you and he need to quit frontin."

"I'm good. I don't need him. As long as he takes care of his new responsibilities, we good."

"You say you don't need him, but when was the last time you had a real man in your life."

"I can't recall."

"Exactly, because you we're attracted to all fuck boys in college."

"Colin's on that list too."

"Give the boy a chance."

"He's the one mad at me though."

"Yeah but if he wasn't, you'd still be acting rude to him."

"Look. I don't have time for Colin and his games. He's too busy living a lifestyle that I'm not down for."

"Which lifestyle is that."

"That I don't need one woman because I can have them all lifestyle."

"That's why you make him forget about them hoes. Come on now Aaliyah, stop acting brand new!"

I sigh, and roll my eyes.

"So how is Riley taking all of this. I'm sure she's happy about it."

"Happy is an understatement. Now, she can finally stop asking about why she doesn't have a daddy."

"Awe Ry..."

"Yeah but now she can get to know him more, and he can get to know her."

"Did you see his post?" She asks looking at her phone.

"What post?"

"This one." She hands me her phone and I see Colin's Instagram post.

"Great. He made it public."

"I'm sure he felt it was necessary. It's a cute post...and they look very cute in it."

"That was my favorite night. They are definitely besties, lets just say that."

"That's so cute. I need to find me a man that'll give me kids and be cute with them like that."

"I'm sure Mr. Right is somewhere in your future."

"He betta be. But lucky you, yours is literally a phone call away."

"Yeah, well that phone call ain't gettin answered anytime soon."

{Colin's POV}

I end up dosing off and falling asleep next to Riley, and I wake up to her squeezing my lips together. I open my eyes to see her smiling, and I make a silly face and that makes her laugh.

"What are you doing kid?"

"Trying to wake you up. It worked."

"I see. What's up?"

"I'm hungry."

"Me too. Come on...lets see what we can find in the kitchen." I say sitting up. I rub my eyes and she takes the lead to the kitchen, and I have nothing in here. I usually pick up something instead of cooking, but I guess I better go to the store one of these days. We end up going to chick-fil-a and then come back to the house.

"Bless your food first."

"I don't know how."

"I'll teach you." She repeats after me.

"And that's what you do every time before you eat."

"Okay."

"Do you say your prayers at night?" She shakes her head no.

"It's just like blessing your food but just a little different. I'll show you before I take you home okay." She nods and we eat. Around 8, we leave do I can drop her off. We walk upstairs, and to the door and I let her knock. Aaliyah opens the door, wearing leggings, tshirt, hair up in a bun and glasses, and she looks damn good, but I can't think about that now.

"Hey baby!"

"Hey mommy."

"You have fun with your dad?"

"Yeah."

"Go in the room and get ready to take a bath."

"Okay. Bye big bear." She says hugging my legs, I pick her up so I can get a real hug.

"Bye little bear. I love you and I'll come bye to see you tomorrow. Can I have a kiss?" She gives me a peck on the lips. "Love you."

"Love you too." She walks into the room."

"I was wondering if I can get her this weekend. My family will be here for the game on Sunday and they wanna see her."

"Okay. What day are you gonna get her?"

"Friday. You got class tomorrow."

"It got cancelled."

"Good, I'll be over so we can find her a school." She nods.

"Colin, I know that what I did was wrong, but I..."

"Aye I'm not worried about you, or us right now. What I'm focused on is Riley, and that's gonna be my main focus. Her then football. I ain't got time for none of this extra shit." I say then walk out.
