{Colin's POV}
We're not sure how long Aaliyah has to stay. Hopefully not long. She'll be in pain for a couple weeks, but the doctor said her wound should heal fairly quickly with proper care. I just can't wait to get her home. Riley fell asleep a while ago and is out for the night, which is good cause she gotta be at school in the morning.
"So what about the job and everything in New York. Are they aware of what happened?" She asks walking out of the bathroom after taking a shower for the first time in weeks. She lays on the bed, next to Riley and pulls the covers over her.
"Yeah. I called to let them know everything that went down, and I respectfully resigned for you."
"Great. Now I can start job searching for when I'm fully healed."
"I don't think you have to search too far." She gives me a confused look. "I talked to Sophia and she said you're more than welcome to come back. She has someone already in the position you were working, but she'll be glad to get you in somewhere else. I think she said the media team. I'm not too sure. But it's open if you want it."
"You don't think that's too close for us to be working together."
"Not at all. I'll be on the field doing my thing, and you'll be inside doing yours. And the only way we cross paths is for a lunch break sex fest or if Sophia calls me in her office for whatever ungodly reason."
"And she shouldn't have to. I don't need you being a bad boy and stressing her out because she's figuring out how to clean up the mess."
"Imma good boy. Whatchu mean?"
"You a good boy when you wanna be."
"Well, next time Imma bad boy, you punish me." I smirk.
"Don't worry. I definitely will." I lean over and give her a kiss.
"So what's the next step for us Colin?" I sit back in my chair.
"Well, when you're released, I take you and Riley back home with me. I take you both shopping for work and school clothes. Then once you're healed, you can go to work and we live our life as normal. That's what happens."
"Yeah, well it may be that easy to move on for me, but for Riley...how has she really coped with this?"
"The first couple weeks were shaky. She broke down every night...had nightmares. Their getting better. She still doesn't like to be alone at night. But I think with time, she will get better and start to shake these thoughts."
"..and if she doesn't? I don't want her to think that we think she's crazy by taking her to a therapist."
"She won't need one. I told you, she's getting better. Hearing that Quinton was put in jail made her ease up a little. She'll be fine okay."
She nods.
"Sooooo....I mean, I know it's kinda early...I mean we just officially got back together, but I was serious about having a boy."
"I'm sure you were...but it's not gonna happen."
"What, why babe. Riley needs a sibling, preferably a baby brother."
"You men and wanting sons."
"What's so wrong with that. Honestly. You have your mini me...why can't I have mine."
"No. YOU have your mini me. Riley is Colin Kaepernick...just in girl form. She's such a tomboy yet princess at the same damn time...and that tomboy is because of you. She's always been that way. So you have a mini me."
"If we have another kid, it needs to be a girl, so that I can make her to a full blown princess."
"Full blown princess that plays sports."
