{Aaliyah's POV}
"I really appreciate you helping me out with the slumber party." Colin says as we get the house ready for the girls tonight.
"I see you didn't think this through..." He chuckles.
"Nah, I didn't. But I always got you to go to for help."
"So how many girls is it again."
"9."
"That would have been very interesting seeing how you'd handle 10 girls by yourself."
"As soon as Riley said 9...I had to hit you up."
Nate finally got over the flu and is napping while we get the place decorated with Frozen related things. I swear I'm gonna sue Disney, because it's probably the most annoying movie by far. I cannot stand "Let It Go" and I know it will be played a hundred times tonight. Riley is by no means the living definition of a "princess"...well she doesn't act like one, thank God, but she loves all the Disney princess movies. This is currently her all time favorite.
"So how many times you think we're gonna hear Let It Go?" She asks.
"Lord, don't even remind me."
"There's nothing wrong with the song, Colin. I love it. We sing it all the time."
I roll my eyes. "You, singin? Lord, that may be worse."
"Shut up." She says playfully hitting me.
"I'm just playin."
We finish decorating and by that time Nate's up, and it's time to pick up the girls from school. We load up in two different cars and head to the school. We pull up and stand outside and wait till the kids start walking out.
"You know, I'm starting to second guess this. We bout to have a house full of 10 kids...11 if you count this one." I say looking down at Nate who's holding on to my hand.
"It won't be that bad."
"If you say so."
Soon kids start walking out and I see Riley. She's walking with her group of friends. I flag her down and they walk over.
"Hi mommy...hi daddy. These are my friends Danielle, Alex, Lauren, Faith, Jasmine, Brianna, Emily, Mariah, Samantha, and you already know Leah."
"Oooookay. I should have brought name tags." I say.
"You girls ready to go?" Aaliyah asks.
"Yeah!!" They all yell. We get them all piled up into the cars and the first stop is the nail shop. I made an appointment for all 10 girls...including Aaliyah. We basically have the place to ourself. They all get their toes and fingernails painted. That takes a while..then afterwards, I take them all to the Build-A-Bear workshop. Riley's been wanting one and figured, they'd all enjoy going. The staff there was definitely not expecting 10 little girls all at once.
"You wanna make one?" I ask Aaliyah.
"Sure."
"Can we start her one too?" I ask one of the employees.
"Sure."
I get Nate one too. Build-A-Bears for everyone. While they're making Aaliyah's, before putting the heart in, she takes it and gives it a kiss.
"Here." She holds it up to me.
"What?"
"Kiss it."
