{Colin's POV}
"All packed daddy." Riley says walking into the bedroom.
"You are. Let's see what you packed." We're all headed to LA later tonight to go to the Kid's Choice Awards as promised. Aaliyah and Nate won't to the actual award show with us though, but I had to beg her to come because I'm gonna need help with Riley's hair. I know how to put all the hair products in there and put it up and a pony tail but that's about it. I'm still working on trynna get the bun down.
"I didn't do it alone. Mommy helped."
"Okay, well I trust both of you came up with something nice."
"We did. What are you gonna wear."
"This new shirt I got." I take it out of my suitcase and show it to her.
"What does it say?"
"Swag With No Brains Is Just Wack. Meaning, you can look as good as anybody out here, but if you're not smart. I say pointing at her temple. "You ain't poppin."
"Poppin? Like popcorn?" I shake my head and laugh.
"Yes bear....like popcorn. Come on, let's go downstairs." She stands up on the bed and jumps into my arms. "Woahhh. You're getting too heavy for all that."
"You're strong daddy. You can handle it." This little girl something else.

[Next Day]
I watch Nate as Aaliyah does Riley's hair in the bathroom for the show and while they do that we lay on the bed and watch tv. It won't take me long to get dressed and ready.
I look over to Nate who's up under me dosing off.
"You gonna go to sleep on me, huh?" I say and his eyes pop open, then they start to close again. I decide to leave the curly-haired kid alone and let him go to sleep. I lay there and watch him sleep. He turns 1 next month on the 12th. I can't wait. He's getting older and I love it. Aaliyah be in her feelings about talkin bout my baby growin up too fast. It's funny because they way she feels about Nate is the way I feel about Riley. She's growing up too fast and I don't like it because she's my baby girl and she's always gonna be my baby girl.
They finally come out of the bathroom and only thing left is for Riley to get dressed. "Your hair looks really pretty baby girl."
"Thanks. Mommy did a good job. As always."
"Yes she did."
"When did this one go to sleep?"
"He just went. So don't wake him up."
"I'll wake him up in the next 30 minutes...he's not about to be up all night. Should have taken a nap earlier but someeeeone wouldn't let him." She says looking at me.
While they were off getting their nails and stuff painted earlier, Nate and I were having some bonding time and she told me to make sure he got a nap in. That didn't happen.
"My bad." I say quietly.
"Mhhm. You should go shower and start getting ready." I get up, grab my bag and head to the bathroom.
Minutes after I finish getting dressed, I get a call from the driver saying he's downstairs waiting.
"The car's here. Riley, you ready?"
