We leave Atlanta the day after New Years. It was really nice to be with my family, and I'm definitely gonna have to visit my other family in San Diego. Probably for spring break when Riley's out of school.

Colin should be here any minute to pick them up. He's taking them to take them to the last home game and last game of the season tomorrow. I really don't feel like hearing his mouth, but I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to start seeing Ricardo.

There's a knock at the door. "Is it daddy? Can I go answer it." I nod and follow her to the door. "Daddy!"

"There's my favorite girl....hey little man." He says hugging them both. He can finally go about his day without his sling.

"Is your arm okay now?" Riley asks.

"It's getting there. But let me talk to mommy real quick, then we'll leave."

"Okay."

"Come on let me talk to you." She says taking my hand and leading me to my room and he shuts the door. "You got some nerve, you know that?"

"I really don't want to fight with you."

"Break up with him."

"Why?"

"You have any idea how that makes you look? Sleepin with the homies."

"It's no different than what your girlfriend is doing?"

"So what, you doin this to get back at me. That's mature."

"No. I didn't. What you do is your business. I don't care. But Ricardo came at me. I denied him."

"Oh you did? Don't seem like it."

"I'm not gonna hurt my chances at trying to find love again because of you."

"You love him?"

"The feelings are strong. Why does it even matter? You got who you wanted."

"I still love you Aaliyah."

"Oh please." I say rolling my eyes.

"I'm so serious."

"You really expect me to believe you?"

"Yes." He says stepping closer to me.

"And are you still with her?" I ask that and his phone rings and I catch the selfie of him and her that pops up. "I guess that answers that. You can see yourself out. Have a good time with the kids."

"Aaliyah."

"I have nothing more to say." I say backing away. Following him out of the room, I give Nate and Riley a hug and kiss goodbye.

"I'll see you both tomorrow after the game. I love you, and have fun." I say helping them put on their jackets.

After they leave, I shower and get in bed. My phone starts vibrating and it's Ricardo calling me. I don't even answer, I just let it ring.

The next morning Ricardo calls again. I answer and the conversation didn't feel the same, and it was mainly because of me. I've been off since last night, and I don't know why I'm trippin. I'm done with him.

The game is on early, so I decide to watch it, and of course Colin is shown on the sidelines multiple times. He looks good. Last night, I didn't even notice he shaved that damn beard. I don't know about the fro though. He had on a beanie, and he has on a beanie today.

He gets them back at a fair time considering Riley goes back to school tomorrow.

That next day, I get a text from Kash. It's a link to the interview and what time the interview starts. I should get home from picking up Riley before it starts and I do. After feeding them both lunch and getting Riley started on her homework, Nate and I sit on the couch. He watches reruns of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and I sit there watch the interview on my phone.

"I'm here with the ever so beautiful Akasha Giselle Williams y'all. I've been trying to get you on for months now, and you've finally found some time in that busy schedule of yours."

Nah, she wasn't THAT busy, she just didn't want to talk with you. That's all. I think to myself.

"Yeah, I finally found some time and here I am." Kash says with the fakes smile. I'm already sick of her. As the interview goes on, of course she had the nerve to ask about what went down with Odell and Angel.

"So a couple months ago, there was the video that was released of Odell and Angel Rose..." I can see Kash's whole demeanor change.

"I'm just gonna cut you off right there because like you said, it was a couple months ago. There's nothing really that needs to be said. Odell and I are in great place and that's all people need to know."

"Is marriage in the future?"

"Maybe...we're just living in the moment and whatever happens happen...but what about you, I know you have a boo yourself."

And she's going there. I thought she'd just leave it alone. But nope.

"Everything's good. I think it's becoming more than what I ever expected it to be. You know, I may be falling in love." She says smiling.

"And how exactly do you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Live with the fact that you're dating your ex's friend."

My jaw drops. I didn't expect her to be so straight forward, but then again, it's Kash. But she's silent and really don't have a response.

"It's okay, you don't have to answer if. I'll just continue to let you ponder on it. Maybe you can turn it into a segment or something on your radio show." She says then smiles.

The interview is wrapped up quickly after that. Thanks to Kash, my mentions get flooded. I see Kash's post which is a picture we took while over the holidays.

"Y'all didn't know that this beauty is one of my bestfriends, did you? You do now. I love you @AaliyahNicole ❤️😘"

I send her a text.

Me: You are so damn petty. That was hilarious.

Kash❤️💃🏽: I couldn't resist. But now that that's over, she's officially dead to us.

Me: Agreed. Time to put our petty ways behind us lol

Kash❤️💃🏽: Yeah, we'll see how long that lasts.

Me: lol but call me later. We need to talk.

Kash❤️💃🏽: I will.
