Sixty-Four

{Aaliyah's POV}

I couldn't sleep last night for the life of me and it was only because I knew we were flying out to London. Needless to say I'm very antsy and excited to see Colin. Feels like he's been gone for weeks ands it's only been almost 5 days.

I wake up to Riley jumping on the bed repeatedly saying, "We're going to daddy, we're going to see daddy!" I groan and turn away. "Mommyyyy. Get up sleepy head." I smile. She lays on top of me. "I know your up mom...I saw you smiling." She giggles. I pull her into me, making her laugh.

"I'm up."

"Are you excited to see daddy?"

"Very excited. Are you."

"Yup. I miss him. And I'm excited that I get to miss school."

"Yeah, but you're still gonna be doing work, remember? I got your homework from your teacher yesterday."

"Mommy, we're going on vacation. There's no homework on vacations." I silently giggle.

"Get it done on the plane ride there, and you won't have to worry about it."

"Fine." I hold her tightly and smother her with kisses.

"Mommy, whyyyyy?" She whines.

"Why what?"

"Why so many kisses."

"Because I love you Riley. That's why, and I'm gonna forever show it...with you and bubba."

Speaking of bubba, he walks into the room, holding his blanky, and has messy bed hair. It's the cutest thing you'll ever see in the morning.

"Come here baby." He walks over to my side and I pull him up on the bed and sit him between Riley and me.

"Morning bubba." Riley says and wraps her arms around him. She really is the ultimate big sister.

"Wanna take a selfie to send to daddy?" I ask and she nods. I grab my phone and put my arm around both of them and take the picture.

Me: See you soon😘

And I attach the picture. He doesn't answer as quick as I thought he would but who knows, he could be getting out of practice or something.

"When are we leaving?" Riley asks.

"Our flight is scheduled for 2:30"

"What time is it now?"

"9:36"

"I feel like 2:30 is a long time away."

"It'll go by quick. I promise."

"Okay...but for now can you cook us something. I'm staaarvingg." She says with dramatics added.

"Okay...go brush your teeth and stuff and meet me and bubby downstairs." She hops out of bed and runs out of the room. Nate looks at me then crawls to the edge of the bed and lets himself down...something he's gotten really good at then runs after his sister.

I get up, do my morning routine and go make breakfast.
