{Aaliyah's POV}
"Mommy do I have to go?" She whines as we get her stuff packed for the weekend.
"Not if you don't want to. But your grandparents really wanna see you."
"I wanna see them too. Why can't you come with me?"
"Because they wanna spend time with you. And I get you all to myself everyday...so sometimes I have to share. But you're gonna have a lot of fun."
"Can simba come?"
"I'll ask and see if they're okay with it. Now go get your toothbrush from the restroom."

A couple hours later, I hand her and Simba off the Rick and Teresa for the weekend.
I get back to my apartment, grab an overnight bag, fill it with clothes and I'm gonna stay over Mel's for the next couple days. It's been forever since I've gone out and had a good time.
[Later that Night]
"Damn girl. You look hot. Bet not let Colin see you goin out like that." She jokes.
I look down and she right, I think as I observe the skin tight dress I'm wearing that hugs every part of my body. He won't have it at all, but do I care; not really. I'm not his woman, we've established this, and he shouldn't be worried about what it is that I'm doing, because he's probably doing much worse.
I sit on the bed to start putting on my pumps and my phone starts vibrating and it's Colin.
"Hey."
"What you up to?"
"Nothin...gettin ready."
"Where you goin?"
"Who is that?" Melanie mouths.
"Colin." I mouth back.
"Goin out."
"With who?"
"You're a little nosy aren't you?"
"That's not answering my question."
"Melanie. Anything else you'd like to know?"
"Yeah...what you got on?"
"A dress."
"What kind of dress?"
"Colin...I don't have time for you right now."
"Yeah, well make time." I shake my head and roll my eyes. "Send me a picture of what you're wearing."
"Now how can I send you a picture when you're on my line."
"I ain't ask for you to be a smart ass."
"What the hell wrong with you?"
"Nothing...you gone send the picture or not."
"Yes I'll send it to you. Damn."
"Drop the attitude."
"You're the only one with the attitude sir." I say then hang up.
"What's wrong with the little diva now?" She asks.
"Nothing. Nothing at all. Just Colin being Colin."
"Well then it's more than nothing."
"I don't want to talk about it. I just wanna have fun and get wasted."
"We need to call uber...we both deserve to have a good time."
