Later that night, about 20 minutes after putting Nate down for bed, and tucking in Riley, she walks in the bedroom.
"Hey baby. What's wrong?"
"I can't sleep."
"Come on." I pat the empty spot next to me. She climbs on the bed and gets under the covers. "Why can't you sleep, what's bothering you?"
"Nothing."
"Ry, you tellin me the truth?"
"Why does daddy have to have a girlfriend?"
"I don't know. He likes her."
"I don't."
"That's not nice Ry."
"I don't care. She was annoying and went everywhere daddy went."
"Maybe because she was scared to be alone in the same room as you."
"I wasn't even that mean to her." She sighs. "I just want you and papa back together." She rests her head on my chest. "I hated it the first time you weren't together."
"I know baby."
"Don't you wanna be with daddy again." She says looking up at me with her big, watery, hazel colored eyes. I almost want to start crying myself, but I hold back the tears.
"It's a complicated situation Ry."
"How?"
"It just is...and it's not something I want you to worry your pretty little face about."
"Are you gonna get a boyfriend?"
"Ummm I don't know."
"I'd be okay with it."
"You would?"
She nods. "Why not. Daddy gets to have a girlfriend. That's not fair if you can't have a boyfriend."
"Okay...but you what?"
"What?"
"It's time for bed."
"Mommyyyy." She whines.
"Mommyyyy." I say imitating her and hugging her. Smothering her with a thousand and one kisses.
"Too much loveeeee."
"There's no such thing as too much love baby girl." I say cradling her like a baby. I stare into her beautiful eyes. "I love you pretty girl."
"I love you too." I lay her next to me and she moves closer up under me. She drifts off and I decide to call it a night as well.

The next day I get ready to pick up Riley from school. She has horseback riding lessons today, and I'm gonna pick up Colin after I pick her up. He wants to be there for everything.
On the way to Colin's house, both Nate and Riley fall asleep. When I pull up, I send him a text.
Me: I'm outside.
My Headache😒: Come in. I literally just hopped out the shower.
Me: the kids are sleep, so we'll just wait out here.
My Headache😒: That's fine. I'll be out soon.
While waiting, I check Twitter and some of Kap's fans are tweeting me.
@CheweyPNewton: @aaliyahnicole sis, did you see what trout mouth said about your daughter yesterday?
I scroll down some more and see that another one of them sent a link of what was said.
Clicking on it, I anxiously await for the line that I know is gonna piss me off. The topic of discussion seems to be disrespectful children, and my mood instantly changes. I continue to listen.
"That's one thing that I really can't stand are disrespectful children. I was around one all this weekend and I swear to you, I've never met a more disrespectful child."
"How old was she?" Her co-host asks.
"She's 8...8 going on 18. She's definitely a handful. And it's times like this where I'd have to put the blame on the parents, more specifically the mother."
I turn that shit off because I've heard enough.
@CheweyPNewton Thank you.
I notice Colin finally walking out the house and towards the car, I get out and meet him half way.
"You better tell that bitch to keep mine and my daughter's name out of her mouth and especially off the got damn radio."
"Lower your voice." He says looking around. "What are you talking about."
"Your little girlfriend took it upon herself to go on the air and to make comments about my child and about my parenting skills. Everyone knows about y'all, and everyone knows who she was talking about. I swear, you better get her, Colin...before I do, and I can promise you; it will not be pretty."
"Alright. I will handle her, I'm sorry."
"What you apologizing for. It's her ass that's gonna catch a beat down. I will go to war for my children and you know that, I don't think she does, and I have no problem letting her know."
"Okay, Aaliyah. Calm down. I will deal with her. Let's go before we're late for Riley's lesson."
