CASTERLY ROCK

"I really wish you would let me in on what exactly you plan." Daemon spoke lowly to Selaena, as some guards were escorting them to Lord Jason.

She looked at him from the corner of her eye, a small smirk on her face. "Wouldn't that ruin the fun of the surprise for you?"

He sighed, unable to disagree, and they continued to the main hall in silence.

She did keep him on his toes, moreso than his youngest children, but she never failed to disappoint. He had to remind himself everyday, that she was still a girl, Only 8 and 10, with the wit of someone three times her age. Daemon couldn't be sure why, but he trusted the young Queen moreso than anyone else he knew, more than Rhaenyra.

He could only reason that it was because she reminded him so much of himself, in the way she thinks and acts, but yet she's nothing like him at all. She was better than he is.

He didn't expect so much from her when he initially met her and prompted his plan to save his family. It was almost as if she was expecting his arrival, with how quick she was to accompany him.

Daemon still held the feeling she was withholding something from him, and he felt inclined to assume it relates to the nonchalance she has in every situation they're in.

He couldn't think much more, as the guards opened the door and announced their arrival to Lord Jason.

"Queen Selaena Maeralys-Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen."

"That is not her full title, but we will ignore that this time." Daemon spoke, as Lord Jason came into view.

The man looked like he was going to simultaneously piss and shit his pants at the mere sight of the two Targaryens.

"Welcome to Casterly Rock, your grace, my prince." He stuttered out.

Selaena tipped her head to him. "A very warm welcome it was, now i'm sure you're alright with skipping the formalities." She smiled. "You and your brother, Lord Tyland are traitors to the crown. I am sure you are very aware of what has just occurred at Lannisport. I can make something much worse occur here, but we don't want that do we?"

Her tone could be described as nothing less than icy. It made a shiver run down everyone's spine, including Daemon.

Jason gulped, attempting to choose his words wisely. "I'm afraid it's too late..."

Both Targaryens quirked a brow. "Oh, could you explain?" Daemon asked.

He shook as he took a breath. "Tyland has probably arrived to Old Town by now, with most of the Lannister men."

Selaena and Daemon looked at each other, the glint in her eye telling him not to worry.

She let out a breath. "Thank you for the information, Lord Jason. Now you are left with a choice, bend the knee, or burn like your fleet."

Jason's eyes almost bulged out out of his socket, as his guards reached for their weapons. He dropped down from his throne and fell before her. "I-I I kneel! I swear to you, Queen Selaena!"

She nodded. "You will send correspondence to your vassals, announcing your oath."

He nodded quickly, standing up as her and Daemon both turned to leave. "And my brother?"

She didn't falter in her step as she replied. "I can only promise it'll be quick."

The two made their way out of the rock relatively quick, as Selaena could feel her head throbbing.
