TW: kissing, mention of Francis, homophobia, bad parenting, and cussing,

Happy Birthday, ThatEnzoGuy :D

Wednesday: 6:31 AM

The four friends exited the dormitory with smiles on their faces, exchanging jokes and laughter.

As they walked, a stranger with a brown box covering their face approached them.

The stranger wore a brown vest over a black collared shirt and raven pants.

"Samuel!" John smiled, recognizing the other man.

He could feel Samuel's nervous energy, his body stiff and tense as he returned the hug. It had only been a few days since the two had last seen each other, but it felt like an eternity.

John grabbed the box and pulled Samuel into a tight hug. "It's so good to see you, Sam. How have you been?" John asked as he released him.

"It's- it's been well, ran into Francis yesterday, other than that I-I've been fine," Samuel said.

He was meek and scared. "What did he say to make you act like that?" Alexander questioned, putting his hand that wasn't held hostage by John's hand on his hip.

"Oh- I- I'm always like this," Samuel fought, looking at the floor, tears forming in his eyes, counting to ten, only to be interrupted at seven.

Alexander's eyes softened, noticing Samuel's awkward stance, "Hey, man, is everything okay?" Alexander asked, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You seem a little tense-"

"Anygays," Thomas interrupted before the conversation escalated into a quarrel and before James glared at him.

He wanted to avoid any conflict, especially between Samuel and Alexander, who tended to debate on religious topics.

Samuel and Alexander argued a bunch, more like, Alexander forced Samuel to debate with him.

He talked about his parents, not in a mean way of course, but, he just called them out for the people they were.

Alexander believed that Samuel's parents used religion as a way to hide their true nature as bad people.

He encouraged Samuel to stand up to them and not just stand idly by when they spoke about homosexuality as if it were a disease.

He even wrote Samuel a letter saying that he had nothing against him unless he pursued the beliefs of his parents of course.

He wanted Samuel to see that, and maybe gain a little confidence to stand up to his parents.

But Alexander didn't understand the complexity of Samuel's situation.

His parents were manipulative and had recently cut him off for merely talking to an owl named Enzo about wanting to attend a pride parade.

It was a fucking owl,

Enzo was following him around more often. One time Enzo prevented Samuel from visiting his parents because they were peckish.

But when Samuel presented them food they refused it.

Almost as if they didn't want Samuel to see his parents.

Yes, it was unconventional, but so was Samuel's life.

It's not like he was chattering in front of a camera exposing to everyone how he was violating his parent's desires.

It got to the moment where the term rainbow was not permitted in the house.

"John, t- thanks for the hug, I have a gift for you, well, more like I'm re-gifting a gift that you gave me" Samuel started to smile as John opened up the box, tears filling John's eyes as he saw what was inside.
