Yibanathi

"So babe this is it."

Boy Boy says to a girl as they walk down the stairs.

Boy Boy sees me sitting on the couch and he then takes the girl's hand and joins it with his and they walk together towards me as I am sitting on the couch.

I assume the girl is his girlfriend judging by how he is now around her.

Mxm this guy.

"Babe who is she?"

The girl asks while giving me a look. Okay I must admit the girl is beautiful she has a blonde frontal and black nails while she is light in complexion. She has heavy make-up though while her face looks golden due to the make-up.

I only saw her compexion because of her arms and legs. The girl is wearing a short one arm green dress with white lace up stiletto heels. She has a green satchel handbag.

"She is just a girl don't mind her."

He says dismissing the fact that the girl asked about me. I keep quiet because the question was not directed to me.

She gives me a look and Boy Boy is looking everywhere else but me.

Mrs Ndamase comes in through the door. I even forgot about her for a little today because I thought she was in her room all along and I am surprised she came through the front door.

"Yibanathi my dear how are you?"

She says walking up to me.

"I am doing good ma."

I say and I instantly regret it. I don't address anyone as ma. It just feels wrong after all I have never had a mother and it feels like I am replacing my mother even though I never met her as I was practically raised by my grandmother, Avuyile.

"That's good then dear I hope he has been taking good care of you."

She says while looking at her son and I nod and she then looks at the girl.

Mind you she has entered the house carrying nothing but a cellphone in her hand. She then looks at the girl.

"Hello Amile "

She says greeting the girl

"Hey mommy."

The girl replies with a smile on her face.

"How are you my darling?"

Mrs Ndamase asks her.

"I am good mom."

Mrs Ndamase nods.

"I just arrived by the way."

Who asked her about her arrival. This girl seems forward. She did not even acknowledge my presence by at least greeting me.

I am not asking for much but just a simple greeting that's all instead of talking about me like I am not even there.

"Boy Boy the groceries are in the garage."

Mrs Ndamase says while throwing him the car keys which she retrived from her denim jacket pocket.

He catches them.

"Oh okay mom."

He replies.

"I am going to sleep I had a long call with Thembi and I went to the chief advisor with groceries in my boot Boy so please no disturbances."

The emphasis on Boy was a lot to make him look down.

She said chief advisor...I hope it was not about me.
