Yibanathi

The only thing moving properly in my life is my blood. I swear life is something else! Never have I ever thought that I would be at this stage where I am literally fighting for survival. I curse the day I met Sfundo I swear I would not be in this situation had I not been fooled by his lies about loving me.

I wish I could just go home but knowing Avuyile and her partner in crime that would be me signing my own death certificate. I am on the road walking to only God knows where. It is important to have a plan in life and have money to support that certain plan. Sandile?! I miss the little guy, I really do miss him. I know one thing for sure that I need to make it out of this place and fix my life so I can get him away from that evil grandmother. If she can do so much to me imagine what more she can do? To think that I thought the Ndamase's were good people. Well Mrs Ndamase really helped me and sheltered me for some time with her spoilt brat of a son. I just wonder what the chief will say when he finds out his advisor is messing with a married woman.

Women like Velile make me fear marriage honestly. I don't even know why I am thinking about marriage when I am stranded. I am searching for my next meal while looking for possible shelter...is this what my life has been reduced too?

Narrated

It has been hours and Yibanathi was resting near the pavement on the side of the road with her bag when she saw a white car with dark windows stop near her. At this point she was tired of running or hiding she had just given up. When her eyes met the car she told herself that should this be the way she is to be reunited with her ancestors then so be it but at least she knows that she really fought hard for the life she is carrying and that she is too tired to do anything. She decided to go back to her thoughts.

The window from the backseat rolled down just a bit and Yibanathi was not even bothered she was drifting back to her thoughts that she did not even hear the person inside the car talking to her.

"Excuse me miss are you okay?"

The guy from the car asked and there was silence. He saw right there and then that there was a huge problem. He physically got out of the car and stood in front of her which is when she looked startled to see someone in front of her.

"Sisi kwenzenjani?"

(Sis what's going on?)

The guy continues to ask her in a gentle voice. She shakes her head and the tears come like they were waiting for that question and the tone in which the question was asked in.

"It is not safe out here for a woman like you, so why don't I drop you off at your house." She shakes her head more before her sobbing gets louder than before and the guy groans a little and before whistling and the driver gets out and comes towards them. The car driver takes Yibanathi's bag and the guy helps Yibanathi stand and holds her gently while leading her to the car with him.

"Still going to the office sir?"

The driver asks while looking at them in the mirror.

"No to the hotel"

The guy replies while slowly shaking his head as this was not how he planned his day at all.
