Noelle sat on the sandy beach, feeling the waves come to shore and ride up her legs. She sighed contently as she felt the breeze through her long hair. Noelle shut her eyes and listened to the sound of the tide going in and out. She set her hands down on the grainy sand, leaned back, and eased herself onto the ground. She then brought her forearm up to her eyes and shielded them from the sun. Noelle then sensed a presence she had grown familiar with. She removed her forearm only a little to see the colors of the world around her were now brighter in color.

"If you're here about Atlantis, I suggest you just leave. Don't ruin my good mood." Noelle said, placing her fingers on her temple as she felt a headache coming on.

"I'm not here about Atlantis. I only wanted to come and see my daughter." Poseidon's voice said from afar. Noelle uncovered her eyes and sat up to see her father standing in the water, looking off at the sunset. Poseidon eventually left the water and went to sit down next to Noelle on the beach.

"How are you this afternoon, Noella?" Poseidon asked.

"Bored really. As I have been the past few days. Zander still hasn't returned from his parents." Noelle responded.

"And when will he return?" Poseidon asked.

"Not sure. He never said how long he'd be gone. And we haven't spoken since he left." Noelle said. Poseidon stayed silent for a minute. He had something he wanted to say but feared his daughter would chew his ear off. He eventually decided he'd deal with the consequences.

"If you came to Atlantis to see Amphitrite and me, I guarantee you wouldn't feel such things like boredom." Poseidon finally said.

"Here we go again." Noelle sighed, standing up from her spot in the sand and making an attempt to walk away.

"Noella, please. It's been over 2 years. You keep saying you'll come visit us. You gave me your word." Poseidon said, standing up and following after her.

"Doesn't time work differently there in Atlantis?" Noelle asked.

"Not technically. When you're a truly satisfied individual year-round, it feels shortened by half. When you're dissatisfied, it feels double, or it could be more." Poseidon answered.

"That's much too confusing for me to comprehend." Noelle said, sighing afterward.

"No, time doesn't work differently. But, it can feel like it's been a short amount of time or a long amount of time. It just depends on the individual." Poseidon responded.

"You pretty much just said the same thing!" Noelle exclaimed. It took her a moment to process what he had said, but once she did, she was left more confused than before.

"Wait, then how are Amara and Donovan older than the rest of us?" Noelle asked.

"Pregnancy works differently for Goddesses." Poseidon said, making Noelle groan.

"You're hurting my head even more with all of these norms and such!" Noelle exclaimed, bringing her hand up to her temple and messaging it lightly.

"Never mind that, Noelle. Please just come and visit us. We have your side of the palace all ready for you. It's been left untouched since we prepared it." Poseidon pleaded, and Poseidon had never been one to beg.

"My side of the castle? I have a whole side to myself? I thought you had other children." Noelle said.

"I do, but they're not human or nymph. They do not reside in the palace." Poseidon answered.

"Look, I will come to visit you. Like I said I would. But, not right now. I've felt free from the burden of being a Half-blood for 2 years. I'm not ready to throw myself back into your world." Noelle said, using the lie she used too often. For a moment, she felt bad, but that quickly went as it came when she heard a noise from a distance. She looked up to the cliff where she and Zander's shared RV resided. She then spotted Zander at the top of the cliff waving down at her. A small smile formed on her face at the sight of her friend. She turned back to Poseidon to see the sad expression on his face.
