Noelle tore her eyes off of Heath, not wanting to, but had to see who it was speaking. She turned in the direction of the voice and spotted Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon all looking down at her. Her heart raced, wondering if the spell hadn't worked and that was why she was being called out. Zeus's eyes filled with curiosity. After a moment, he chuckled lightly. Over the course of a few seconds, it turned into roaring laughter. It was the only thing that could be heard in Olympus. It shook the ground beneath them all. Zeus composed himself after a moment and stared down at Noelle as he did before.
"Do you think yourself to be above everyone?" Zeus asked. Noelle tilted her head to the side, wondering what he meant. Zeus laughed once more.
"You must bow in the presence of a soon-to-be God." Zeus said. Noelle scoffed.
"I bow before no man." Noelle retorted in a low voice. Zeus's eyes went dark. He was about to approach Noelle, but the sound of Poseidon's laughter stopped him. Poseidon held his hand over his stomach, feeling pain from within.
"Is this funny to you?" Zeus asked as he turned to Poseidon.
"Quite." Poseidon answered with a grin. Zeus glared at Poseidon before turning back to Noelle.
"Bow." Zeus demanded. Noelle raised a brow at him, challenging him. Donovan nudged Noelle's side. Heath looked between the two, wondering what the relation was between them considering he hadn't ever seen Donovan around her before. Noelle turned her head to Donovan and glared at him. The look in his eyes told her to back down. She then slowly turned back to Heath, her eyes softening. She quickly curtsied before returning back to her normal position. Heath watched Noelle with curious eyes. The music started once more, but Heath didn't move. He kept his eyes on Noelle, examining her. It wasn't until Hades cleared his throat that Heath finally tore his eyes away from her and began walking once more.
"Okay, I know Zeus didn't notice me. But, did Heath?" Noelle whispered to Donovan, wondering why Heath continued to stare at her.
"I don't know, but you've got to keep your mouth shut if you don't want to be recognized, Noelle. Heath could've easily figured out it was you if you had spoken normally." Donovan replied. Noelle slowly nodded her head before watching Heath approach the thrones. She flicked her eyes upwards to Poseidon and noticed his stare and the amused expression on his face.
Blonde doesn't suit you
Poseidon thought. Noelle scoffed, gaining the attention of a few others around her, which she ignored. She knew she didn't look good as a blonde, but she didn't want to hear it from someone else.
Neither does red, but it's what I've been given as a disguise
Poseidon smiled, not wanting to interrupt the ceremony with his laughter. Noelle took her eyes off Poseidon and to the ceremony. Each of The Fates appeared and began touching Heath's face, who was now kneeling on one knee. She couldn't see much of what they were doing at first, but then, one of the Fates took a bowl of red liquid and poured it over him.
"What is that?" Noelle whispered, leaning into Donovan's side.
"Blood of the Fates." Donovan replied.
"Really?!" Noelle asked in shock and disbelief.
"Ha, no. That is the juice of the Earth. Which pretty much means, it's mother Gaia." Donovan explained. "Mother Gaia grants everyone their powers." Donovan continued.
"What did you and Amara get?" Noelle asked. Donovan turned to the left one him where a God stood.
"Hey, you can trust me." Donovan said as his eyes lit up green. Noelle noticed how the God standing beside Donovan had green eyes too.
