"Oh, so sweet! Now, please, break away from one another!" Zander exclaimed with a grimace on his face, feeling only slightly jealous that he couldn't be that way with his beloved. Amara reached down and took his hand in her own, rubbing circles along one of his fingers to make him feel a little better about their situation.
"Yeah, what he said. We need to discuss what's next." Helios said, crossing his arms.
"I wasn't thinking of that. I was thinking of his poor mother having to watch this take place on her couch." Zander teased. At the mention of that, Noelle and Heath, whose eyes were still on one another's, widened. After a moment, Heath stood up straight and reached his hand out for Noelle to take, helping her up and off of the couch. She stumbled a little bit from just waking up and not having full control over her body. Heath's arm wrapped tightly around her waist and a hand gripped onto her hip to keep her still. Noelle's drifted up to Lydia. She hadn't seen her in almost three years. Her heart warmed at the sight of her. The two smiled at one another.
"I'll leave you all to it. Before you leave, however, I've been trying to move that couch for months. If one of you would use your super strength and move it over there, I'd appreciate it greatly." Lydia said, pointing in the direction she wanted it. Heath snickered.
"Sure thing, mom." Heath replied. She gave him a small smile before exiting the room, leaving them to it as she said.
"What all have I done?" Noelle finally asked in a quiet, upset voice, looking in between the group. Amara sighed.
"Don't worry about that." Amara said though she was certain she'd have nightmares for months from what Noelle or Hypnos tricked her into seeing.
"What matters is that you're safe." Zander said as he stepped forward. Heath removed his hand from her waist so that Zander could give her a short hug, Amara soon following afterward.
"Wait, where's Donovan?" Noelle asked curiously.
"Both Donovan and Ares are still back at Olympus. Supposedly, they found something that'll help you. Never bothered to share it with the group, however." Helios said in a rough voice. Noelle smirked at him.
"What are you doing without your cuffs?" Noelle asked.
"Hermes actually replaced them with chains for a bit before removing them after I helped search for you in the mind realm." Helios said. At the mention of that, Noelle gave him a soft smile as a thank you. Helios only nodded his head, the scowl he usually had on his face disappearing ever so slightly.
"Technically, you never found her. Your cuffs should be back on." Hermes pointed out, making Helios spin his head towards him.
"No, no! You said I at least needed to help and that is exactly what I did!" Helios said. The two then began bickering back and forth. Noelle shook her head at the two of them.
"So, what now? Why are we here? Where are Thanatos and Hypnos now?" Noelle asked. Heath went to place his arm back around her when she flinched. She realized what she had done and the concerned look on his face. She moved closer and tried not to acknowledge what she had just done. Luckily for her, Heath was the only one that noticed. And he surely wouldn't as what that was about with the others around, knowing she wouldn't like that very much.
"You know about them? I thought you couldn't remember it." Zander asked.
"I was conscious some of the time with Thanatos and Hypnos. Mostly in the mind realm." Noelle answered.
"What do you remember?" Hermes asked.
"Quite a bit of mental torture and bodily harm." Noelle answered casually, not wanting to make a big deal of her situation. Heath was the only one who truly saw how she was. The look of fear in her eyes made him want to do anything in his power to protect her. He wasn't fond of killing or death in general despite being the Prince of the Underworld, but he'd kill in an instant if it meant he could protect her.
