"If you would just reveal where Noelle has been taken to, all of this pain and agony would come to an end." Hypnos sneered as he twisted a handheld dagger laced with some of Thanatos's blood that was currently halfway through Donovan's side. Donovan wouldn't admit to it, but the act of torture along with the poison-filled blood made him want to pass out. He panted heavily as Hypnos slowly continued to twist the dagger, awaiting his reply.
"I've already told you. I have no idea where Noelle has been taken to." Donovan said. His answer had remained the same for the past hour and a half. It was all true. They had all discussed in the chariot where each group was going. So, he knew Noelle was going to Earth, but he didn't know where exactly on Earth. He was sure it was back at their old home, New York City. But he couldn't think that. Not even for a moment. Because he knew if he did, Hypnos would find out. Hypnos groaned out in frustration and twisted the knife faster, making Donovan cry out. Hypnos then tore the knife out and threw it across the room. They were currently in what would be considered a dungeon of Hades and Hypnos wanted nothing more than to be out of it and do something other than torture. He didn't understand why it always had to be him torturing their enemies and not Thanatos. It felt inhumane, and usually, neither God nor Goddess cared about whether they acted humanely or not. Hypnos did, however.
"Perhaps if we were to rip out your spleen and bleed you dry until you're exhausted as can be, you'd be more willing to talk to us." Thanatos said, now entering the room. He hummed, waiting for Donovan's response. Hypnos shook his head.
"You are one disturbing God, brother." Hypnos commented, sighing afterward. Thanatos gave no reaction to what Hypnos said and approached Donovan.
"It doesn't matter what you do to me. I'm a God and I'm durable. I can take it." Donovan said a little breathless. Thanatos and Hypnos both turned to one another, a knowing look on each other's faces. The two only laughed at him, making Donovan frown. His attention was torn away by a familiar face walking in front of his cell room.
"How wonderful of you to join us, Medusa. Have you brought him?" Hypnos asked, turning to face her finding that she did indeed bring 'him.' Donovan watched with careful eyes at the sleeping form of Zeus being held on by the collar of his shirt by Medusa's hand.
"Yes. You underestimated just how heavy he really is." Medusa said, grunting as she tossed him in the direction of Thanatos and Hypnos.
"Oh, cheer up, Medusa. Soon enough, you'll have your hands on Athena's daughter. All is well." Thanatos said as he lifted Zeus up onto a nearby bench.
"You've made a big mistake. You haven't forgotten the Goddess of Annihilation warned you if you ever came back she would slaughter you until your face is unrecognizable, have you?" Donovan asked, gritting his teeth.
"I haven't. But, Thanatos and Hypnos tell me that she won't possess the ability to do so for very long, right boys?" Medusa asked with a smirk. Thanatos and Hypnos gave her a knowing look, one Donovan didn't understand.
"Tell me, what am I missing here?" Donovan finally asked, panting heavily as he moved to a more comfortable position on his knees. The pain burned his sliced-open skin, but he continued to move. Hypnos moved over to Zeus, kneeling down beside him as he examined him. With the snap of his fingers, Zeus' eyes were open however the rest of him didn't move an inch.
"Do you want to know what makes my power so wonderful?" Hypnos asked Donovan, though his eyes remained on Zeus. Donovan didn't respond. He didn't want to play into Hypnos' games. He just wanted the answer as to why his enemies thought they could harm him.
"With the wave of my hand, simple utter of words, or a tap of my finger to the side of the head," Hypnos said before tapping Zeus on the side of the head. "I can control anyone I please." Hypnos continued, now turning to face Donovan.
