"Hey! You never said anything about coming to the Underworld! If I had known, I wouldn't have come." Noelle said as the two went below the surface in Poseidon's chariot and into the Underworld. Noelle immediately felt cold. Poseidon exited the chariot, and Noelle soon followed after. She wondered why her father hadn't answered her yet, but soon saw the look on his face. He was focused. She decided it'd be best to leave him be for the time being. She stopped walking and wrapped her arms around herself to keep warmth. She didn't realize she had fallen behind.
"Where did you think we'd meet? Olympus? Where you are not welcome?" Poseidon finally asked her. She kept silent. She hadn't thought about that. Poseidon was headed for a secluded area with a veranda over it. Once Noelle realized she had fallen behind, she quickly ran over to catch up to him. She felt a breeze hit her, making her shiver. She didn't care at that moment about leaving him behind. She ran over to the secluded area in hopes of hiding from the cold. She felt the presence of another. She knew it wasn't Poseidon, considering he passed him while she was running a few minutes prior, and she knew her father wasn't one to run. She turned and saw a cloaked figure standing in one of the boats.
"How do we get across this river?" Noelle asked curiously, rubbing her arms up and down.
"You must pay the toll." The man said, holding his hand out to her. Noelle looked down at the hand. For a moment, she thought she had been in this position before. Noelle looked around. She knew she didn't have money to give, but she needed to give him something. She kneeled to the ground and picked up a leaf, placing it down in the palm of his hand. The man took off his hood, giving Noelle an 'are you kidding me' look. But, the look instantly went away. His eyes widened and his head tilted to the side.
"Phelia." Charon whispered. Noelle furrowed her brows.
"How do you know my name?" Noelle questioned. Just then, Poseidon reached them. Once Charon spotted Poseidon, he bowed before him. Charon held his hand out at Noelle, gesturing for her to take it. She stood there confused but took it anyway. He helped her onto the boat, then helped Poseidon and took them across the river. Once they reached shore, Noelle turned to the man in the cloak after she had been helped out of the boat.
"Thank you, Charon." Noelle said, not even realizing what she had just said.
"You are most welcome, Phelia." Charon said before heading back across the river.
"How'd that guy know my real name?" Noelle asked Poseidon.
"Same way you know his." Poseidon said as he opened the gates to Hades' palace. Noelle gazed at the palace in amazement. She was far more impressed by the beauty of the Underworld than she was with Atlantis and Olympus. When the two made it to the doors, they instantly opened for the two. Noelle was still examining the outside of the palace, too busy to realize that Poseidon had already walked inside. She ran in and caught up to him, standing close by.
"Hey, when does this thing start?" Noelle whispered to Poseidon. Poseidon stopped walking and leaned down to her height.
"Now." Poseidon said. In an instant, the entire room was lit up with a moss-green fire. Noelle's eyes widened as she looked around to see just how many people were in the throne room of Hades palace, now turned courtroom.
"Zeus and Poseidon, you come to discuss what shall be done about last evening and convince me why I should help you. The floor is yours." Hades said. Noelle turned to see Zeus now standing beside Poseidon. She felt uncomfortable and out of place standing on the floor where Zeus and Poseidon had to discuss why Hades should help. She had no clue what was going on and wasn't included in their conversation. She looked around to see if anybody had their eyes on her. She found none to the left and none to the right. But, when she looked ahead, she found Heath's icy blue eyes on her. Noelle ignored the sounds of Zeus and Poseidon riling up the people in the courtroom and focused on the sad expression on Heath's face. Heath didn't know why she was there. He sat there, not doing his job as he should, and gazed at Noelle.
