Noelle wondered what Heath wanted to discuss with her as he pulled her outside of Mount Olympus. She was unsure of what they had to discuss. That was until she remembered what had happened earlier in the throne room. Heath stopped the two of them in front of the fountain outside. He let go of her and turned back to her. He kept his head down for a moment before looking back up at her. He cupped her face in his hands, examining her.

"What?" Noelle asked, wondering what he had to look at. Heath didn't respond, he only kept his eyes fixated on her own.

"The look.. in your eyes. It's new." Heath said. Noelle instantly remembered the odd discussion Melinoe and herself had.

"Do you know what it is?" Noelle asked. Heath didn't respond at first, but after a moment he hummed.

"I've heard stories from my father about what the cursed pomegranate can do. Persephone turned someone into a plant because of jealousy. Your emotions can drive you to do things you didn't think you'd ever do." Heath said before sighing and pulling his hands away from her face.

"You pulling that knife out earlier and testing Zeus like that showed me it's started." Heath continued.

"And what is it exactly?" Noelle asked. Heath shook his head.

"I'm not quite sure. It can affect you mentally though, Noelle. Persephone's not a great example of what it can do considering it made her stronger, but things can happen." Heath said. Noelle hid her hands behind her back as she tore away at her nails. Persephone hadn't mentioned any of it to her when they discussed her eating the pomegranate. She knew she'd have to ask her about that later.

"Did you know this potentially would've happened to me before I ate it?" Noelle asked. Heath stood in silence for a minute before answering.

"It was part of the reason why I was so upset that you suggested it. Yes, I knew it was a possibility." Heath replied. Heath then noticed what she was doing. He reached his hands behind her back and tugged her arms forward and locked her hands with his own.

"You're nervous." Heath observed.

"Of course I am. Neither of us knows what's going to happen." Noelle mumbled, not making eye contact, thinking Heath couldn't hear her. Heath let go of one of her hands and used his index finger to push her chin upwards. Noelle's eyes caught his. It was then she noticed a strange look in his eyes. She reached her hand forward and wrapped her hand around the back of his head, pulling her closer to him. He grumbled, not expecting her to be so forceful with his head.

Sorry

Noelle quickly thought as she let go of his head. It took Heath a moment to realize what she was looking at. He then took the hand he was holding before, entwining their fingers once more.

"We both have the look in our eyes." Heath said.

"Why do you have it?" Noelle asked.

"Because we're connected now. Hades and Persephone have it too." Heath said.

"Is it bad?" Noelle asked, pulling away from him, feeling concerned.

"No, it's just a mark to show our connection." Heath said.

"Really?" Noelle asked with a smile as she wrapped her arms around Heath's middle, making him laugh. "Guess that will scare off any of the men in Olympus if they try to hit on me." Noelle continued as she thought of Hermes, making Heath shake his head.

"No, I will." Heath responded. Noelle laughed and rested her head on his chest. Heath could hear her thoughts running wild. He knew she was still concerned about the situation. He pushed her away from her and rested his hands on her shoulders.
